I feel like Liam took Zayn's departure the most mature and healthiest way. Yes, they were all going through a tough situation and they were brave enough to go out there and keep singing instead of cancelling the tour. Everyone has a way of coping, Louis and Harry are more emotionally driven so I think that's why L lashed out at him on Twitter and H deflected on every interview with jokes about Zayn. That's fair, they were hurting and we don't know what was going behind the scene to speculate what made them feel that way. It's just that Liam was the less resentful one, he kept in contact with Zayn, he even empathized with him and I admire him for that

But I guess more people paid attention to the Steven Bartlett interview. But if you’re someone who pays attention to what Liam has said in the past, none of what he said would have come as a surprise. Plus the gist of what he was saying is that there were incredible highs and devastating lows. Why oh why do people like to misinterpret what Liam says to negative effect?? It’s unnecessary.

even though they had that whole argument back then because of the Logan Paul interview, I really feel like Liam was the most supportive one in the band towards Zayn. I just recently watched an interview where the band went on ellen’s show (this was 2015, shortly after Zayn left the group) and Ellen asked them if they were still talking to Zayn and Liam was actually the only one who was still talking to him. so I really feel like he understood zayn’s position on leaving the band. shorty before he unfortunately died, there was also a video where he says he’s very proud of Zayn for starting his own tour. I’m sure he would go to one of his concerts was he still here. he supported everyone. it’s so depressing to realize he’s gone. he was beyond talented and a kind soul to those around him 🥹💔

They never had an argument over that interview. Liam said he spoke with Zayn and the other boys after that interview and apologized and they supported him as brothers do. He was just in a bad spot in life, was vulnerable due to drinking and being coerced. He was the most supportive of all the boys equally and he had so much life ahead of him, especially for his son. For me it's really sad that Liam was the only one always understanding and supportive of everyone, especially Zayn. Other guys have rarely expressed any support. And I understand that part too so I'm not judging, everyone's experience is at least slightly different considering they were together 24/7. And yet the world fell into the trap of criticizing the two of them mostly. Being in the group took a toll on them the most. I hope that things have indeed changed for the better between the guys. watching this now is so hard after Liam's passing. We were most probably going to see all 5 boys performing together eventually and Zayn and Liam performing together again would have been such a beautiful moment because everyone knows they had their differences but my, god, I know it would have happened eventually and now that opportunity is gone. If the remaining boys do perform together again, it will be one of the most heartbreaking sights to see. There will always be a hole where Liam would have been and should have been. You're always gonna wish you could go back and express how you feel to them. Hindsight. It is so very sad to think about. I wish they could have had that conversation.
