Nice video with even the enthusiasm! 😀 Because there have only been done a remap and a EGR blank, this sounds more like a Stage 1 to me. Stage 2 is also with a bigger intercooler and Stage 3 is with bigger intercooler and bigger/VNT turbo.

There's a TD5 tuner near where I live who tuned a TD5 up to 180bhp. I think he was running 30psi of boost with the stock intercooler. Works absolutely fine and goes great. Still not as fast as my 2.2 Turbo diesel Toyota though.

Interesting update on your Storm Tuning upgrade. Just a question really on your quoted speeds as I have a 2002 110 TD5 that I regularly use on the motorway and it easily cruises at 120 kph, and does not feel under too much strain at 130 kph. It has done 250k and has a bit of turbo whine. Thinking of getting it re-mapped next spring as part of a major overhaul to give me better performance in the mountains where I live.

Hi Phil, I don't remember exactly what I paid, but it varies depending on what you want done. My fitting was also done here in Denmark where stuff tends to be more expensive than a lot of places. Gday from Australia mate. Am just about to send my def td5 110 (99 model) ecu to storm up in the UK. Ur video is a great guide . Just wanted to know if u found any issues later on after driving ur rig for a few months or so wit this stage 2 . Just like everyone , I too miss the low end grunt that we get stock. I would like to pull out a bit more torque and punch . Any thoughts would be helpful

You need to open it out a bit more....get a real feel for it. You seem to be backing off the throttle or changing gear just as soon as the turbo is kicking in

You will of course get extra performance out of it, but you don't have to unless you want Stage 3 and up. I've been running stock turbo and intercooler with a Stage 2 remap for almost a year and I've had no issues whatsoever. The guys at Storm Tuning are very friendly, they will answer any questions you have.

I have that to, indeed not that unusual, but sometimes it's too much... I'm trying to find a solution to get more air intake, but get stuck at the filter box. Allisport has one, but 400$ is a little too much for a box imo. Anyone got other solutions?

It didn't do anything apart from noise. I'm not sure about the boy racers in your parts but the ones here don't have 1 ltr fiesta's, they have vxr's, beemers, audi's ect. It's not a boy racer beater pal.

Not sure why the attitude is necessary, however it's most certainly not just a difference in noise. It's no sports car but it's a hell of lot quicker than stock. I even drag raced a stock Td5 and it wiped the floor with it.
