The animation in this performance is really quite amazing. I'm guessing this had to have been motion capture. There are so many subtle movements that only a real dancer could pull off or choreograph. I haven't seen another live vocaloid with this much dynamic and energy. Like not even close, but I'd love to hear suggestions if you have.

Am I projecting my own emotions, or did the animators somehow make this animated projection look like it's honestly having a great time? Probably both, that's the magic of Vocaloid :) Definitely a fan of this super wide screen that lets Miku run across the whole stage.

Very clever positioning , you can barely notice the screen ,if you notice at all , Miku owns the stage she has extended movement it's like she is actually there , very immersive experience. ( coming from 2020 miku expo london where you could clearly see the screen and miku movement was limited , it ruined the immersiveness ) .

The tour version of these concerts is called "Miku Expo", on a much smaller scale and sadly with a completely different band lineup, but they're still awesome. Vocaloid itself is a program that lets the user program a "virtual singer" to sing whatever song they want. You can adjust the vibrato, length of notes, pretty much everything. It was started by Yamaha. "Hatsune Miku" seems to be the first vocaloid to become popular among international audiences. These concerts have live talented musicians performing popular "Vocaloid songs", but the band didn't write the songs. (Although they do add their own life to it and truly make it a live concert.) For more info on Miku Expo you can go to the site, and for more info on the bands you can type in MKP39 or Magical Mirai (band) and there will be a few articles on the lineups.
