Just got one into the house. For our personally needs, the form factor is the main selling point. We keep a computer in a cabinet in the kitchen. It is currently a mini-atx case build as the vertical clearance is minimal. This case fits the spot and gives us the full atx compatibility needed as I retire my main system into the kitchen build. Wasn't sure how I was gonna square that circle till I found this case. Almost incidentally, it seems very well built and thought out.

That is a neat little case. I like it, too. Being a mini it does look easy to fill it up, but if you don't have a lot of things to put in there, it's plenty of room. It seems incredibly well designed. Thumbs up!

This case is simply amazing. Got mine set up with an AMD 7950X and RTX 4090 FE, with a full EATX-sized Asus ROG X670E Extreme motherboard and a bunch of Noctua fans, and t's completely quiet even under sustained load. It's truly impressive to have these components going full tilt with no audible noise from the system. I'm using air cooling only, with a Noctua U12A on the CPU. The case is compact, yet had no problem accommodating my EATX motherboard thanks to its clever design.

Gearseakers Nick noticed that the 360mm fitment issue is because this case is 20mm shorter than the mini. This 20mm causes all sorts of fan clearance issues, so I'm not sure why this decision was made except to stick to an arbitrary Litre spec.

I bought this case for a home server. It was a very big challenge installing 3xHDD and 2xSSD. I ended up having to buy a six-pack of sata power extensions at 180 degrees. The HDD cage was upside down, I only had sata data cales with 90-degree angles, so I had to buy some 180 degree (straight) cables. Luckily I was able to stuff everything in the back panel area, barely. The 4th HDD may not be able to be mounted. Without removing the top control panel as the cables block the HDD from being installed. It is a very tight squeeze. But I don't know if I can knock off any stars. It does work well and is quiet. But I did need to spend an extra $100+ decent extensions. But moist cases only support 2xHDDs any more. I was surprised this one holds 4-HDDs. I still run windows on the motherboard's built in NVMe drives, so I can use it for video editing as well, and even game on it occasionally.

Agree 100%. Although if you plan to use all of the cooling capabilities of that case for a custom loop that $300 on the PSU is going to be the least of your worries.
@anhiirr2 жыл бұрын
@@haakonht even then with the air cooling potential and gpu heat...there leaves little options in general for cooling/aio/rad mounting for aio(IMO front mount push pull) if possible like fan cage up front with fans inside+rad attached to rear of cage which means you have to screw/install it b4 the front fans...then rear fans to the rad.....put some stands on the feet to add some clearance down low....and put 2 140mm fans for intake/gpu....then just top exhausts that are un-ubstructed bc theres no rad up there(which can only be mounted with an itx/matx board anyways). I think this+ the rear panel fan mounts can do well enough at this size. IDK why ppl try to force a custom loop in to a chassis that isnt as hospitable to that type of build/use. When the regular 011 was generally....already made for this purpose. I mean the price point of this chassis....doesnt reaquire ppl to put K series cpus or r9 chips into it any more than they would have to use b-die mem. So its not like ppl are going to need a custom loop on a 12400 per ex. Up until they upgrade into an i7/i9 13th gen per ex...even then id recommend an AIO or theorycrafting making a large air cooler work. VS a custom loop and using multiple lines/rads With limited space/rad support/fan support/clearance.

The Lian-Li page shows the radiator on the side mount for AIO cooling. I've got this case on order, and I'm wondering where to put the rad. Side only takes 240mm so would it be better to put the rad on the front and use the side fans to pull the hot rad air straight out again?
@anhiirr2 жыл бұрын
id love one of these, now that arctics making RGB aio's i can only hope they eventually produce a white 280mm option id really like to put a 13th gen intel or zen4/am5 into one of these with a white aio. Ideally a 280mm. I see it has "issues" cooling gpus....but ill just consider some platforms for the feet to raise the bottom while adding bottom intake fans and add some side/rear panel intake fans. I like the size and aesthetic showcasing the build as a centerpiece. I currently have a front mount push pull 280 freezer II in a mesh P. With gpu intake fans mounted etc. But ever since before my build ive always wanted a ATX psu supported "SMALLER" 011. Once this mesh was coming out with the full ATX psu support it really got my attention especially at this price point. I may even try a smaller cpu like an r5 or a i5 on air with this system with 13th gen or am5. Prior to a flagship i9/r9 purchase/aio adaptation. Considering the "LEAPS" as it is just from a pure gaming standpoint/build to mess around with. Prior to selling my current system. If not ill just sell my MESH II build outright for something fun. Just too bad there arent "many" m-atx options at reasonable price points IMO. I had made a build in the past with a z490m gaming edge which was a reasonable 180$. Now around that price im seeing msi gaming plus and the edge options are past 200$. Asus makes a prime z590m for 180$ which could be paired with a price cut 11700kf(170-180$). But id still feel more comfortable with a vrm on par with a gaming edge/tomahawk or even past a tuff/prime asus. Just bc this chassis "demands" to showcase a "build" M-atx just overall lacks ideal board options and pricing. Even though a 360mm aio up top would be a dream id just cut the front fan mounts and try to "find a way" to still utilize front intake fans and the side panel intake. To get as much air in to cool the gpu and 360 rad. Still what with the GPU cooling concerns/heat idk if a top mount is the way to go with an AIO or air cooling an overclocked cpu. My guess would have to be a 280mm in push pull up front if possible. With ALL of the fans slots populated and a way to add more clearance for the bottom intakes....it could be possible to remove one of the front intakes for a 360mm clearance up top....swap the front intake into an exhaust but idk i feel it will take some troubleshooting to really dial in ideal thermals/noise ratios with a rad up top even for itx/matx application/cooling.

I wish I'd never bought the thing. The hassle of finding a top SFX psu... The best one on the market is the Silverstone 1000w platinum. I could have bought a 1000w platinum ATX psu for half the price, but nah I needed and SFX. Why 1000? Well if you want an RTX 3090 and a high core count CPU then yeah that's what you need. While it does look cool, compared to this I'm just reminded that it's a bad design on the first mini. Glad they pump a new one out every year and we get to see all the design improvements they could have thought of earlier. If you want to make a small case requiring an SFX, then make it a REAL Itx case.

IKR and were still on the FENCE waiting their meshlicious/tu-150 replacement trump card.....going on near a year now. Which was supposed to be their REAL itx case....I think they ran into a speed bump with cost and the price point they were trying to sell it as tu-150 replacement/nr200 competitor....which has now become a slowing aspect in their development process while trying to YIELD good thermals/aesthetics etc. NGL i waited almost a year for the 011 mini and once i saw it was going to be SFX psu only...i had to pass on it. BC i was already buying parts ampere gpu 5900x...had a spare rig it was inside etc...then just went with a x570 tomahawk and a mesh II p...bc i felt stabbed in the back that the MINI was launching in dec 2020....and sfx only...as reviews "proved" it was possible to incorporate an atx psu or at least smaller atx psus like as if they never put in the time/effort to engineer it in the first place. Even on ITX paying for a corsair 600w psu to run my 3070 feels like an insult which pushed me to atx as well. BC for the same cost i got a 850w focus gx. Had a dagger 650w it was hot/loud prior...pushed me into thinking my only option was corsair and a 150$+ 600w psu. Now im willing to sell my system within the next 6m and just set that money aside for 13th gen or am5. With the air mini in mind. Hell if arctic starts making white AIOs...ill feel prompted to go with the white air mini ngl.

Wonder how two 3.5" harddrives will fair in that drive cage - probably overheat...

The cover on the HDD housing is ventilated. I doubt there will be a problem.

they built this case because in the mini (normal) only one sfx psu can be mounted

Not a fan of black case, but you did an awesome job matching it with silver theme inside the case. Simply look amazing.

I never use user manual for case ❤

I thought the mini was only capable of using an sfx psu?

This O11 Air Mini is quite different to the O11 Air

Nothing little about this case.

Not a fan of the width of it. Its like they moved a portion of the top part of a standard tower to the side of it.

For a single 280 rad loop, go with the Meshlicious

The case design usually impacts the air cooling drastically more than custom water cooling. Doing air coolers tests here would be extremely beneficial.

i agree. this case should be reviewed with the biggest air cooler like d15. That's the purpose of this case.
