hi Kleo Love U BRO Nice work, bro, but I was surprised that 360 mm AIO and 240 mm AIO have a difference of only 1 or 2 degrees (between A and D) with an average of 5 ghz. Please explain to us for information purposes.
@KleoYan
@KleoYan 9 ай бұрын
Hi Always Respawn, let me start off with the case structure. If I am not careful enough to choose the correct airflow. Having a 360 Liquid AIO is deem better performance to a 240 liquid AIO, but you need to have good airflow in your case. You see, if the heat can't dissipate fast enough, the metal of this case will absorb the heat, since the radiator is attached to the case side, these heat will more or less transfer to your 360 radiator, plus the factor of larger surface area of the radiator, It asborbs more heat. though there is a side panel with mesh holes, there are restriction to the amount of hot air exhausting or cool air drawing in. As why the 240 is doing pretty good. it's located at the rear where there are no gaps, plus the honey comb holes are larger compared to the mesh holes at the side, therefore pushing hot air through the radiator and through the rear honey comb is fast, same applies if you draw cool air in to the radiator. Now for a 360 liquid AIO not being able to perform is when a case has restriction of airflow. If you case have proper airflow, the amount of cool air in is equal to the amount of hot air out. Your 360 radiator will out perform a 240 Liquid AIO. I hope these make sense as it took me a fair amount of time to figure out how to run a 7950X at an acceptable temperature in this chassis and not only that, I have to battle with my room temperature too, as the case is made of metal and it is also absorbing some heat from the exterior.

@@KleoYan oh I see ,so bro we can use galahad ii Trinity 240 with 7900x or 7950x for all core 5 or more ghz of performance. If I am not correct so please correct me.

@@AlwaysRespawnyes you can use the 240 GA II trinity, but will need to tune the PBO2 to set the PPT at a lower wattage consumption. Also the TDC and EDC to draw lower ampere. Just like how I illustrated in this content. But this will limit the potential of your highend processor. Again the choice is yours.

You are the first person I've seen to do in depth testing on the o11 vision's thermals. Cheers for that. Only thing I wish was included is tests for air cooled configurations, as I am unsure if this case would be good for that.
@KleoYan
@KleoYan 9 ай бұрын
Hi Trapped-in-polaroid, welcome to my channel. If you want my honest opinion, I will not advise you to do aircooling. Maybe someothers will have the expertise on this. For me when I did the test on a aircooler, there is no way I can get it below 95 degrees, unless i set drawing wattage is at 125watts. Do note that I am not only battling with the airflow of this case ( got to plan properly to have balance airflow) I have to battle with my harsh room temperature too. Unless you are in a colder country, aircooling is possible. You see, in such a warm room, the case will absorb heat from the exteral too. Thank you for your question and am glad you've bring this up.
@Trapped-in-polaroid
@Trapped-in-polaroid 9 ай бұрын
Thank you for the reply! I can understand your reasons for going watercooling. I don't have problems with high room temperatures and my CPU doesn't produce as much heat as yours so I imagine it will be ok. Just don't want to spend another $100+ on an AIO, especially since they tend to have less longevity than air coolers. I think I will stick with the air cooler I already got.@@KleoYan

I have some interesting observations with the rear fans. If you don't install them at all or install only the rear top one, then your M2 SSD will have lower temperatures than with a fan. This is when installing the remaining fans, of course. That is why in the test in options D, E, F the M2 SSD is hotter. The additional resistance of the radiator further interferes with the free flow of air. The back grille is the only place where the air comes out and should come out. If you are not bothered by the noise level, then set the rear fans to high speeds - this will greatly increase the cooling efficiency.

Thank you so much for testing all the fan configurations on the O11 Vision, been wondering this myself. I know you mentioned air cooled cpu being unsuitable for your region's weather, I assume the result would be similar to config D, since the CPU fan position is similar to the AIO out. I am surprised though that even with 24AIO its better to exhaust, instead of drawing cool air right from outside the backside
@KleoYan
@KleoYan 4 ай бұрын
Hi Junrui He, welcome to my channel. Yup I did mentioned that is not ideal to have aircooling in my country. and as for the 240 exhuasting air out instead of drawing air in, the trick is to push hot air out of the case. if you have set it to intake with a 240 at the rear. the hot air will need to exit from the side but it's far reach plus of the angle. Therefore having side intake to bring in cool air and to have rear to exhaust is more ideal, as the warm air is around the motherboard area where the direct path to draw hot air out is at the rear.

Hello! Well done! Thanks! For my opinion, configuration - "C" is better choice for me, BUT with minor changes: 1) 2x120 fans on rear (low m/b position) 2) 3x140 fans on bottom (AL also exists in version 140) 3) Vertical GPU orientation (with rizer) for stronger airflow from 140 fans which will cause a better effect on m/b temperatures... but more for appearance :) I think O11 Vision too big for 3x120 on bottom. It also has little ventilation. Thats why it needs more air volume and airflow speed. I will glad to read your opinion about this :)

Hi!, I love this comprehension down on the thermal test. Originally, I was going to do a push and pull configuration on my aio in this case but was thinking against it due to it taking too much power having multiple fans and stuff. A quick question however, is how did you set your aio to do the intake if it's a 360m? (Sorry i'm still at a basic level for pc building if you can't find the time to respond it's fine!)
@KleoYan
@KleoYan 4 ай бұрын
Hi Allhailcowcow, welcome to my channel. The nature of this case, you will need to use brutal air pressure to push air from the side and to exit to the rear. I have done a pull configuration on the AIO which is drawing air from the side but going through the rad. Though pulling warm air instead. My cpu temp was ok where I have to limit the power drawn on my processor. I believe is I do push pull configuration, the temperature will go down. Let me be very honest. I perfer to use the O11D EVO RGB case compared to this case as the airflow is so much better in that case. Bottom line is, if you want aesthetic, you will need to accept the compromised temperature with this case. If you want better temp, the O11D EVO RGB is the way to go.

Hi MRIQ Gaming, welcome to my channel. The set up with have planned, works perfectly, the 7800X3D is not a hot chip and the 4070 super is a good choice too. As for vertical Mount, yes, it does provide better air circulation, especially the GPU hot air is not pushing towards your motherboard but going upwards. Just need to be mindful, if you intent to mount your GPU vertically mounted. You might or might not be able to place 2 x 120mm fans, you might end up with just 1. Of course depending on which vertical mount bracket to use and your GPU L X W X H construction.

If you make video content on this topic, I think your channel will grow at double speed. Your videos will easily be recommended by KZbin.

I would love to see a comparison of the Vision vs. the 011 Dynamic Evo and possibly even the RGB. Is this case worth the cost of thermals over the Evo or the RGB? I could handle a few degrees, but if it turns out to be maybe 10 degrees different I'm going with the Evo or RGB.

Hi there! Firstly thanks a lot for this video! It’s very detailed and concise and you explained everything very well. My only question is about AIO coolant temperature. Right now I am stuck between position A and C (both have bottom 3 fans intake and rear 2 as exhaust, difference is side 3 intake vs exhaust). Most people believe that A is better than C as it lets more air come in. My my question is, isn’t that bad? The radiator on the side is getting hot and using that to intake air will make the chassis hotter no? Also how will these two configurations compare in terms of coolant temperatures for the radiator?
@KleoYan
@KleoYan 6 ай бұрын
Hi Ashad Siddiqui, welcome to my channel and thank you for your feedback, I have another option for you. stick to A) but do it push pull configuration on your rad, that will help more in air circulation. your Coolent temp will be good plus hot air are forces out of the case due to additional set of fans, but if you choose to do one set of the radiator. I still would advise you to stick with A). Reason to this, coolent will be good and though hot air in going in to the case, you don't have to worry about GPU temp as it's taken care by the bottom fans. be it side intake hot air and bottom push in cool air, it's still postive air. if you choose C) that will be negative air. Just my opinion.

@@KleoYan Hey Kleo Yan, thanks for the reply! So actually after sending you my message I didn’t know when you’d respond so I tested A. I actually used to use C with push/pull (meaning 6 fans on radiator all exhausting) and my temps would be 66C on GPU and CPU. Now when I did A, I get the same GPU temps but CPU is like 5-7C better. Definitely seems this was the better option. Side question, what do you use to monitor coolant temps? I currently use armory crate form Asus (I have an Asus aio). The monitor from armory crate seems to be showing a wrong cpu temp for me so I don’t know if I can trust the coolant temp too.

Hi Kleo Yan, Thank You very much for this amazing video. In previous 5-7 days I am searching for proper explanation of best setup for Lian Li 011 Vison and could not find so detailed explanation regarding airflow and temperatures in this case. I am about to order this case, along with 7800x3d CPU and 4070/4070 Ti GPU. I love Lian Li AIO and fan solutions, so will go with it. However, still not 100% sure in which direction to go regarding AIO and fan setup. My initial plan was to use 3 intake fans from bottom and 1 intake from rear side with AIO (exhaust) on the side. It is Your "B" test case. However, after I saw Lian Li recommendation and after I saw Your video - I will probably go with "A" option. Probably, I will buy TL fans. Question for You, I would really appreciate Your feedback: Is it feasible to buy 360mm AIO, remove all 3 fans from it and use those fans as intake from bottom of the case and then to buy 3 TL LCD fans and mount them on AIO? On rear, I would put 2 exhaust TL fans (without LCD)? What do You think about this setup, especially having in mind chosen CPU and GPU and fact that I will use them on factory settings? (I am from Central Europe, room temperature does not go over 26-27°C) during summer. Thanks a lot for Your time for reading this and appreciate if You can give any feedback on this.

HI Hjalte Bjarning, welcome to my channel. I will only voice out my opinion. The only cool air going in is from the bottom which the cool air is sweep between the GPU heatsink, hence warm air will raise up, you need to have something to sweep the motherboard area. therefore the configuration A is of a much better choice. If you do it C, yes you are pulling hot air out but that does not sweep the hot area of the motherboard, plus hot air exhausting out through the radiator, the CPU temp will go up instead. As the radiator is cycling back the hot solution back to the pump block.. You can give it a try on C to have a peace of mind too.

Hi Tsukuyomi Artemis, welcome to my channel, if you choose to use this O11D vision. If I want to use Standard/Mini/E-ATX, won't I be able to put 2 rare fans?

@@PhenomenalNFT Hi welcome to my channel. for the side, place liquid aio with push pull configuration to force the warm air flow in and out of the case, this was the recommendation from Lian Li and I have tested it. it does help in termal. For ATX / M-ATX / E-ATX . no issue you can put 2 x 120mm fans. but make sure it's at low mode and not high mode of the motherboard. As for ITX I have not tried but I do realise the PCI-E slot for the GPU is at the 1st slot as compared to ATX / M-ATX / E-ATX which is at the 2nd PCI-E Slot. if you intend to Vertically mount your GPU, you will only be able to mount 1 x 120mm rear fan.

Hello Kleo, may I ask why did Style D's M.2 SSD suffer at 48 degrees when there's fresh air from the side while Style A has a lower one with the AIO being placed at the side.
@KleoYan
@KleoYan 26 күн бұрын
@@LocksleyNg hi welcome to my channel. Part of the reason is the warm air circulating inside the case and with the AIO at the side, the airflow in has less pressure and allowing the rear to have sufficient time to push hot air out. If without the side AIO, there are no stoppage but forces circulation of warm air rapidly within the case itself. Is more like a dead trap of hot air. This is why the m.2 is has higher temp.
