Hi Danny K, welcome to my channel, I will do this A) GA II LCD block Type C to motherboard usb 2.0 B) Radiator fans - 3 x SL120 V2 use the single cable where you have 3pin and 4pin, 4pin goes directly to CPU_FAN and 3pin goes to uni controller sync 2 C) Rear fan - 1 x SL120 V2 use the bridging cable (7pin) to bridge to your radiator fans at B) D) Side fans - 3 x SL120 V2 use the 7pin cable to connect directly to your uni controller port 2 as port sync 2 at B) argb follows port 2 E) Front fans - 3 x SL120 V2 3 x SL120 V2 use the 7pin cable to connect directly to your uni controller port 1/3/4 as why doing this way. control your radiator directly from your motherboard but the argb, leave it to the L-connect 3app, so in the event if your uni contorller is faulty, only the argb is affected and your fans will continue to spin to cool the radiator (safety precaution) as for the rest from C) to E) these are your case fans, you can just use L-Connect to controll both fan RPM and ARGB effects.

@@ronswanson1410 put the fan on a flat ground or mat, put screws straight to the hole and screw them clockwise. For each 2 turns unscrew it 1 turn and repeat the process. Reason to do this, when you screw the screw in, the will be plastic debris which will stuck to your screw, by unscrewing 1 turn back, you clear off the debris, which in return, using lesser strength and accuracy to thread the screws into the hole straight and not slanted.

The only annoying thing about the three pack is how it doesn't have the splitter cable that the single fan has. I bought these specifically to switch out the two stock fans of my DeepCool AK620, so I bought a 3pack of SL 120s only to realize I had no method of connecting them to the CPU fan on the mobo.... The included connectors literally only go to the controller. I had to order a single fan in order to get the cable I needed (4-pin PW and 3-PIN SM-type ARGB) to connect to the controller's additional ports and cpu fans seperately. This is because the CPU cooler fans tend to run at faster speeds than typical case fans. These cables should come included in the three pack IMHO. Other than that, fantastic fans and the daisy chaining is ridiculously convenience!

Hi Kleo! Can i plug my strimer plus 8 pin and 24 pin into sync 2 and sync 4 on sl120 v2 controller? So i dont need to plug them into l connect 3 controller and i dont need to get another nzxt internal usb hub? Because my motherboard only has 1 usb header
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hello KEZZIE, welcome to my channel. Do you know which strimer plus version are you having? If you are using v1 where there is a controller with buttons like M, +, - and etc. yes you can do that. You will need to plus your strimmer plus strips to its controller and from the controller where it has the argb to your motherboard. Get and adaptor and plug to your uni v2 controller sync 2 or sync 4. But do not when you do this. You will only be able to control the argb effects using the SL120 VS dashboard in L Connect 3 app.

Hello g10x29m, welcome to my channel, nope you are not advisable to do that as each uni fan controller has it's own chipset to control the fans. is like AL for AL, SL for SL, SL infinity is for SL Infinity. I have another video which explain this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZjZpoh8msuZbrc

Hey, can you use the V1 and V2 together on one controller or is that not possible?
@KleoYan2 жыл бұрын
hello Johnny. welcome to my channel, you can do that but only on the argb side. you can plug the V1 SL 3pin JST connector to either Sync 02 or Sync 03 port. these port follows the pattern this way.. for sync 02 it will follow port 2 and for sync 04 it will follow port 4. then for the fan connector of your V1 SL, you have to plug to your motherboard fan header. now please make sure total of fans plug to this SL V2 controller is up to 16 fans (4 fans on each port) if you use sync 02 or 04, it's also included within the 16 fans capability.

Hi Douglas Borges, welcome to my channel. Maybe list down for me as follow 1) Which motherboard are you using (Brand and Model) ?? 2) Which case are you using ?? 3) How are you arranging your fan position in the case?? example below Top - 3 x SL120 Inf Bottom - 3 x SL120 Inf Side - 3 x SL120 Inf Rear - 3 x SL120 Inf AIO placement (example top or side or front)

Hello! 1 - Asus Z690F 2 - NZXT H9 Flow 3 - I’m thinking in arranging this way the fans: Top - 3 Fans exhaust Rear - 1 Fan exhaust Bottom - 3 Fans intake Side - 3 Fans intake, radiator, 3 More fans intake, doing a push and pull Do you think its ok putting all 13 fans in 1 controller? And you like this arranging? Or would you put the radiator on the top like most people do? I think this way makes more sense because I want fresh cool air coming to my radiator from outside, better than taking the hot air inside the case and throwing in the radiator? Thank you!

@@DouglasBorgez ok thank you for your reply, you can make use of one controller and this is my suggestion on how to connect your SL120V2 fans. I assume you did purchase mixture of triple pack (with controller) and single pack. Case Fans using 7pin connector from the triple pack =========================================== 1) Top fans - 3 x fan, connect to the uni controller at PORT 2 2) Rear fan - 1 x fan, connect to the uni controller at PORT 1 3) Bottom fan - 3 x fan, connect the uni controller at PORT 4 from 1) to 3) All argb and pwm are controlled by L-Connect 3 app. AIO Radiator fans, push pull configuration using split connector (3pin and 4pin) from the single pack ================================================================================= 4) Push fans - 3 x fan, connect the 3pin (Argb) to uni controller at SYNC PORT 2 and connect the 4pin (PWM) to motherboard CPU_FAN 5) Pull fans - 3 x fan, connect the 3pin (Argb) to uni controller at SYNC PORT 4 and connect the 4pin (PWM) to motherboard CPU_OPT from 4) and 5) only the argb is controlled by L-Connect 3 app, else the fan pwm is controlled by your motherboard utlity or via UEFI Now the reason I've suggested this way, if your uni controller is down, at least your radiator fans will continue to spin and to cool down your processor. Only imparct is the argb. else for the rest of your fans, if uni controller is down. yes both argb and fan pwm will be down but it's less important compared to your Radiator fans.

@@KleoYan great idea. I will do exactly as you said I went to lian li website and it says one controller can support 16 fans But as you said, for safety I will put the PWM of the fans of radiator directly in Motherboard power. And I probably wont conect the RGB leds of the fans in the back of the radiator, since it will not be exposed in the case Thank you very much for your support! @@KleoYan ok one more question I took a look at the boxes of the fans, I have 3 kits of triple pack and 4 single pack The problem is, I cant connect the ARBG 3 pins to the SYNC port of controller because the cable doesnt fit. I suppose I need an adaptor for that, and I cant find anywhere selling this adaptor here in Brazil My question is, since I cant plug it to the sync port, should I just connect all fans in a single controller, or should I use a second controller? Will it work if I use two controllers? Or I can simply connect the just PWM of the 3 fans in the back of the radiator on the Motherboard CPU FAN, because I dont need LED in these three, it wont be shown Thank you once again

Hi, I need some advice. I want to buy CPU cooler Lian Li GALAHAD 360 SL V2 AiO ARGB black, 4x Lian Li UNI FAN SL140 V2 RGB PWM black and 4x or 1x Lian Li UNI FAN SL120 V2 RGB PWM black. My questions are: 1. Is it necessary to replace the 3x UNI FAN SL120 V1 from the Galahad 360 SL V2 AiO ARGB CPU cooler, replace the 3x UNI FAN SL120 V2 for compatibility in the controller to work? When I want to have all SL120/140 V2 fans? 2. If it is not necessary to replace, it is important that the rear fan 1x SL120 V2 is connected to Sync 4, the top 3x SL120 V1 from Galahad 360 is connected to Sync 3, the side 2x SL140 V2 is connected to Sync 2, the bottom 2x SL140 V2 is connected to Sync 1 (or merge Sync 1 + Sync 2). Will it work like this without problems via L-Connect 3? RGB and FAN speed regulation will be working? 3. If I had only one controller from Galahad 360 SL V2 AiO ARGB, will all FANs (1x UNI FAN SL120 V2 + 4x UNI FAN SL140 V2 + 3x UNI FAN SL120 V1) be compatible with the controller? Will it be necessary to purchase a cable or converter? 4. Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 24-pin/8-pin controller into MB and GPU are different from Lian Li UNI FAN SL120/140 V2 controller, they should not be compatible. So that's two devices, right? 5. I'm looking at an Asus TUF X790 AM5 motherboard. I don't know if it has all the hubs/inputs that the controller needs, RGB_HEADER1 3-pin (ARGB) + PWM 4-pin CHA_FAN2/WP (FAN) + USB 8-pin cable into USB_3_4 or USB_1_2. I have to analyze it later. 6. When I want to connect all Lian Li FANs, can I use the USB cable from the primary controller to USB_3_4 and the Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 from the secondary controller to USB_1_2? Am I writing it right? 7. I would buy a Hyte Y60 PC case. I was looking at how many and what kind of FANs can be put there. Everything fits what I described above. 8. I want to plan everything when I assemble a new PC for the first time in my life, I want to have as few problems as possible. 9. Thank you very much for reading this far and thank you for this informative video! I look forward to your answers :D

Hi Laddos, welcome to my channel. 1. A1) The SL120 V2 is using it’s Uni controller, you can’t use it on the SL120 V1 controller 2. 2A) First of all, you need to get the CPU and GPU readings in L-Connect 3 app when using the SL120 V2 controller. Without that working properly, you can control ARGB but not PWM. Now if you are using SL120 V2, please plug them at port 1 to port 4 and not sync 2 or 4. Sync 2 and 4 are for your Galahad ARGB connector or older uni fans like the SL120 V1 or AL120 3. 3A) Connect all your SL120 V2 to port 1 to 4 as for those old version, SL120 V1, you will need to control the Fan RPM in your motherboard and argb controlled by L-Connect 3 in sync 2 or sync 4 pot. 4. Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 24-pin/8-pin controller into MB and GPU are different from Lian Li UNI FAN SL120/140 V2 controller, they should not be compatible. So that's two devices, right? 4A) Kindly watch this kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZjZpoh8msuZbrc 5. I'm looking at an Asus TUF X790 AM5 motherboard. I have to analyze it later. 5A) This you have to do your own research. Thank you 6. When I want to connect all Lian Li FANs, can I use the USB cable from the primary controller to USB_3_4 and the Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 from the secondary controller to USB_1_2? Am I writing it right? 6A) That’s the correct connection, you can watch this kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZjZpoh8msuZbrc 7. I would buy a Hyte Y60 PC case. I want to plan everything when I assemble a new PC for the first time in my life, I want to have as few problems as possible. 8A) In life, nothing is smooth sailing, there will be issues along the way. So take up the challenge. If you find it tedious, get someone who have the knowledge to help you with your build, learn from him or her. 9. Thank you very much for reading this far and thank you for this informative video! I look forward to your answers :D 9A) You are most welcome. Hi there, can you explain what are the drawbacks of using this SL V2 fans with SL V1 controller hub? Is argb light still functioning? And fans speed control still also functioning? Thanks
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi Si6SENSE, welcome to my channel. the difference is. If you are using the SL V2 controller, it's similar to the SL Infinity controller where you have a 7 pin plug on the fans to the controller. all controls are done using L-Connect 3 app. The draw back is, you cant control the RPM via your motherboard directly, unless you set bypass mode in your L-Connect 3 app and make sure the PWM cable is plug between the controller to the motherboard.

I've tried maybe twenty different versions and I've been able to get it to work a grand total of like 3 times, and even those times, I had to quickly try what I wanted to try, before it froze up again.
