I'm surely going to buy a single LCD fan (14'') and a stick, as soon as I changed my air cooler to AIO, so I could see it at the back of my case. Exciting! The L-Connect 3 is installed for my "Infinity" fans already. Thank you for the review.

Great vid! so if I have 3 sets of fans (total of 7 fans) (3, 3, 1) and only 2 usb 2.0 ports on the motherboard I'm going to need a usb.2.0 hub right?

Great video! Quick question about controlling 140mm Lian Li fans. Do we know if this new Lian Li Uni SL Wireless controller can also control legacy non-wireless Lian Li Fans (like the Lian Li TL Reverse LCD 140mm V2) or is a TL LED and LCD Fan Controller (G89.12TL-CONT3W) also needed? Shame they aren't making 140mm versions yet.

I have a question? I will buy 5 units of LCD reverse blade, because on Amazon and other pages I cannot find a package of 3 LCD reverse blades, how would I connect the 5 individual ones?

I can’t get my lcd option to change to pop up in the L connect. Rgb works fine.

What sort of cooling safety has lian li put in place... now that the PC cooling system is dependant on wifi, windows, L connect and USB now? Did they fix the issue where each screen was consuming 3 to 5% of cpu?

​@@Omega-EPI'm so disappointed in lian li... they make the most beautiful fans ever and screw up the interfaces and software like it's 1970s USSR tech. Lian Li... why do I need a dongle for every fan group when my mobo already had wifi? Why does every fan in their line completely redesign power and increase complexity.

@Omega-EP I just can't find the right fan... lian li seems to designing randomly. In my eyes, we need a fan power bus straight from the psu to series or parallel fans (power configurations should never be limited by the design of the signal systems, signals should only dictate power limits not configurations, other wise it is by definition a bad power design). Signal is another story. In my eyes, they should stick to the standard or invent something better, or extend the standard... but they keep releasing random non standard variations all with shortcomings. What processor are you on, I have 9950x which uses 3% cpu per screen and 3 to 5% for lconnect, that's with default animations or gauges. I'm considering returning my 15 TL LCDs, the LEDs are so beautiful, but can't was cpu on crap algorithms written by bad engineers. I'm really stuck, I need fans that link, mobo fan header control for fallback, led software that doesn't consume unreasonable resources and consistent well designed power... It's not that hard. Wifi no wifi, doesn't matter to be if they achieved that. I get the impression the original sl line had traditional rgb and fan connections so in theory one wouldn't need the BS... but now that TL and SL and I pressure the rest are all going Wifi, no idea what the model names are even supposed to tell us.... I.e. WTF does it mean to have an SL fan, what defines it vs TL? 2X3 pins v 6 pins, is thst the only difference?

I don't get it. Where is the benefit of the wireless dongle for the lcd fans? The wireless fans have now 2 instead of 1 cable per fan group (compared to TL fans). So I get rid of the RGB controller but I introduce a second cable coming out of each fan group and a wireless dongle. At the end I should have a similar numbers of annoying cables, right?

What’s the difference in these “SL” and the “TL” fans the TL seem more expensive with lcd to sl with lcd

Tough question to answer because there are many SL fan submodels that make no sense and overlap in wierd ways. That being said, there appears to be 3 controllers in their line up. TL, SL and now Wifi. 3 separate interfaces instead of extending the existing fan standard interface or designing one that actually makes sense. So that is their real primary division of fan products, the controllers each representing a new and inadequate standard or else they wouldn't keep redesigning it. Their secondary product devision are then just the fan specs and styles... and be warned, nothing matches, reverse and normal have completely different everything, they can't even be used for push pull. Also be warned coverage for each controller is random in nature, big gaps or overfill of options. The TL fans have the least secondary divisions the SL the most and wifi for now is less than TL. The TL fans have the best LEDs out of all of them, and we're the only line with lcd till wifi came out... now for whatever reason, wifi line appears to be planned to have TL and SL subdivisions for some reason... I.e. the answer to this question is continuously changing... because once the incredible fan hardware is engineered, Lian Li seems to be going to the marketing department to do the rest... I'm really pissed honestly... 15 beautiful $800 fans... that consume 45% of my CPU and create more dangers, bugs and headaches than any PC component I've ever worked with before.

My Lian Li LCDs turn on for 1 second and then it just turns off and all I can see is the rgb from the fans on. Ugh 😩 this is giving me a headache.

Don't you just love it when wireless fans start interfering with other wireless products on your desk so you won't be able to use them? That's why I love wireless technology! It's great not to be able to use it!
