Did you know that this festival exists thanks to the magnificent, full romance of the love story called "Scarlet Sails". This story of an exalted dream, of faith in a miracle and about all that is good in man, was written by a Soviet writer, revolutionary Alexander Green in the distant year 1922. In the USSR, the film "Scarlet Sails" was shot, in which one of the most beautiful women of the time was shining - the inimitable Anastasia Vertinskaya. This film instantly won the hearts of millions and entered the gold fund of the classics of Soviet cinema. Scarlet sails are a symbol of a great and all-conquering dream. That's why they became a symbol of the prom and gave the name to this grandiose festival.
