Be specific, and try to understand these conflicting parties (Liangmai and kukis under Manipur) are neighbouring villagers living like families. Village disputes are common incidents almost everywhere and one bad situation needn't be generalized and based on intra tribal warfare lines. Lastly, keep nagaland kukis away from Manipur kuki issues. Both are different geographically and politically....and both doesn't represent each other.

These are minor inter village disputes which are a common sight almost everywhere. Some diabolic vested individuals and groups always try to give communal touch by instigating on tribal lines and many are even trying to pick on Nagaland kukis who have absolutely no business with this particular dispute and no business with Manipur. Keep in mind....we're different geographically and politically and know who to pick on and draw the lines. And this issue is purely Manipur village issue yet some unscrupulous elements from Manipur are trying to instigate nagaland nagas against kukis by generalizing the issue out of context. Here is what happened.. An incident of alleged brutal assault and molestation involving a Liangmai Naga woman purportedly perpetrated by Kukis at Konsakhul Lungwiram has been reported, with the victim allegedly employing a JCB to prepare land for a residential construction. And here whats been happening repeatedly... chief of KonsaKhul, describes a conflict with Kukis whom they provided land & shelter in their village but later on started encroaching outside the given lands & had caused multiple problems to the native Naga villagers ever after addressing them to stop.

It's not about community land grabbing. It's about disputes between villages of nearby only. The Liangmei village claim that the land was taken on leased in 1920 written in ball point pen. For kind information ball point was invented after 1930. First verification should be done on the the documents n if found genuine only can be claim whose property it is.

The JCB is not brought by kukis but by a Liangmei Naga woman from Imphal who tried to level the disputed land claiming its her land over a fake documents which was written with ball point pen dayed to be 1920 in proper english... Nice that at least manipur has kept it's original sino tibetan languages. (Nagas kukis and meities ) and are proud of and speak it with the sense of identity . They are proud of their connection to other people groups whether it may be from tibet ,china , myanmar or other indian states. But sadly nagaland is being influenced by these indo europen language and forgetting their native languages from the sino tibetan family. Sad tat these languages will be lost due to an alien language. 😔 . You might say tat its helpful in communicating between tribes but at wat cost .
