As a retired State Trooper, I can tell you that the officer used restraint. We would have probably got leverage under his arm and forced it out from under his body. Even if his arm was broken in the process. And he still would have been cuffed. By just using pain compliance, which is what the officer did, you are allowing the bad guy to determine when and how he brings his arm out. Which could be with a quick movement and the deployment of a gun or knife. Forcing his arm out means you have physical control of his arm and can check for a weapon. If the arm breaks, that's the cost of doing business! 🇺🇸🚔👮‍♂️

A couple of years ago I would get into this FB group just to try to hear each side to give both the BOD. It was for the most part cops, vs. people who didn't like cops. Height of BLM. This discussion happened every night. Every night the discussion boiled over, but we all still came back. I imagine I was a guest for a few months because when the discussion got a little too much one of the posters reminded me of why everyone was there. To quote to the best of my recollection he said, "You do realize we all come back to this place for the same sadistic reason. We need eachother." That was something we totally agreed on, and it gave me a more clear perspective. This group drew in all kinds of crazy including me, but reading that one statement gave me solace that someone from the other side reached out to me after all of the mud slinging when I was simply there to try to understand gave me a ton of hope. PS. If you know the group I am speaking of please tell them I apologize for not being in their conversation anymore. I left FB years ago, and they can all go fuck themselves, or eachother. That was actually a newly opened Mods pizza! Happend in the town I live at, Around 10:00 on that day My girlfriend and I went to go get some pizza and show up to see the door broken and two cops talking out front.
