Used to live in Akron, basically a little Detroit(about 1/4 the size of detroit), did a ride along with an officer there during college. The cops there are have it pretty damn hard. I sympathize with this officer more than normally after seeing just one shifts worth of work in that poor city.

I am from PR, land where the police are bad until you need them, land that hates to get pull over due to seatbelts are wearing, expired tags and use the cellphone while driving. Something I have learned is the police are human beings, men and women, father, mother, sons, and daughters, souls that want to make the different in their communities and set the samples for the young ones. They aren’t perfect but who is perfect under god blanket. Be their friends, invite them a drink when you them on that shitty gas station by your house stop by the Police Office and bring some dinner for Thanksgiving and / or Christmas night. If police weren’t allowed to do just a quarter of the shit the sidewalk attorneys, internet attorneys say, we’d have lawlessness.. then those same said people would be asking “why aren’t these cops protecting me?!” Such a double edged sword officers have to face. God bless our law enforcement. The only ones who will take the berating comments about them but be the first one to run in to gunfire to save one of these little turds.

What people don't seem to understand is junkies do not want to get arrested and go through withdrawals they also don't seem to be able to speak proper english when yelling at the cops. And somehow they are also always able to know that the man didn't do nuttin. Perhaps we should hire these folks to drive around and pass judgement on citizens.
