Jason broke his heart and Elizabeth's by giving up Jake and Elizabeth to save his son and the woman he loved lives, his son ends up dying anyway(or so he thought)! He settles for a woman who fits his life and goes back to Sam (i think he loves sam but his heart is with Elizabeth because he gave her up) Sam gets pregnant they think it's Jason's((wait no it's Franco's wait no it's Jason's) jason can't handle that it's not his baby then they're reunited not realizing it's his then Jason "dies" but then Jake comes back and Jason comes back as a man who doesn't remember then he remembers but he's not the same inside he decides to pursue a relationship with both boys that believe he's their father the one they longed for, wait it's not Jason, real Jason returns believing it's 2012 and he's not Danny's father and Jake is dead, but wait now he's Danny's father and Jake is alive and they believe that another man is their father and now he has to publicly admit that he has children because another man declared himself their father publicly(when Jason before 2012 never did) so he's trying to build a relationship with both boys who now love other men as their father figures! Yet in the end(with the exception of Michael) he technically never raised his own biological child as a baby/toddler and never actually declared himself as a father! It was all done for him by way of others and situations outside of his control! Oh and sam had the baby girl Emily they always wanted with his brother and Elizabeth married his biggest enemy(I think Elizabeth loves Franco but I think she settled because Jason gave her up i think Jason has her heart) and now his enemy has his brothers memories because he was trying to save Cameron who was another child he felt a connection to because he loved Elizabeth! And Michael the 1st baby that Jason loved as a son(his 1st born of the heart) believes his baby is dead because of the fact that his mother Nell is angry her kidney was stolen and given to Josslyn Michaels sister because Jake never died! This is a messy tricky situation! And Jason is at center of it all! Most of it out of his control yet it all started because he was trying to control the future of his son and the woman he loved by giving them up to keep them safe yet 10+ yrs later no one is safe, happy or where they want to be or expected to ever be(sam may love Jason but I think she settled because it was safe and familiar but I think her heart is with Drew)!

I always liked the Sam character just not with Jason. I actually love the Liason/LuSam dynamic each gave their partner an interesting side a good balance devil angel type thing! Opposites attract! This foursome added zest to the show! Too bad they don't write like this anymore because this cast was phenomenal!

angela morales No he didn’t. Cuz he didn’t sacrifice himself to be with Liz. And Liz literally spent months trying to force a relationship with Jason when he kept trying to back up. Also after 2008, Jason had other opportunities to be with Liz and he took none of them. He instead went back to Sam, married her, had a baby with her and more importantly, he chose Sam over Liz multiple times

Line mess up by Rebecca, at exactly 1:36 into the clip she tells Cameron that "Jake and Sam went to go find your brother, not "Jason and Sam went to go find your brother". Lol never noticed that until now and i watched this many many times. But anyways I seriously can't stand the writers of GH, they can't get their crap together, why does every other couple on soap operas get their chance but liason doesn't???!!!!!!! It's been 20 years since I watched liason for the first time and still to this day, they never had a shot at a relationship, something always screwed it up and ultimately the writers couldn't get their shit together and do the right thing and that's the reason why I stopped watching GH in 2012 and haven't watched an episode since. I know not everyone wants them to be together and that's totally understandable, we like what we like but they deserved a chance no matter where their relationship went, happily ever after or mob life or the danger separated them, no matter what happened at least we could of gotten some closure for liason but instead the writers left us hanging, and after 20 years my oxygen has ran out! Liason was, is and always will be my fav soap couple and there's nothing the crappy writers can do to change that! #liason4ever

She thought she killed zander during the hotel fire, but the body they found belonged to someone else and they had Jason sign a statement saying detective capeilli killed the guy. Zander was found not dead by Emily in march 2004 and Elizabeth called the police and he died in a police shootout

This whole storyline just goes to show that even though Liason has a much stronger chemistry Sam is more suited to Jason's lifestyle. Sam has the grit and street sazzy and cunning to survive in the harsh environment where Jason lives. Liz is too much of a delicate flower to survive in the jungle. She's more rebellious and stubborn which in Jason's world are two qualities that can only serve to get u killed, not survive. She's alot like Zander in that way. As much as I love Liason they're a fantasy and Jasam is more realistic. I just wish the writers would just stop dredging up this Liason thing. They keep beating a dead horse with a stick. They've proven over and over again that Liz is not suited to Jason's life not matter what their hearts might want. They have both made certain choices that make it impossible for them to be together. Matter a fact Jake should have never been a factor between them it just gave them another opportunity to prove how impossible their love was. The one thing that should have united them; a child, just widen the chasm between them. Dumb writers! Stop dredging up this tired storyline. It's DEAD, leave it that way.
