Its just a quick and easy way to gesture at ‘something repubs/tories don’t like’, and if they make enough associations, their audience will do the work for them: connecting the term with something They don’t like, because in their minds ‘woke’ has another, specific to them, meaning. Y’all wanna know what else about the election pisses me off? The “leftists” and “liberals” who refused to vote for Kamala. I’m not a democrat. I don’t like Kamala or support most of the things she supports. But I would much rather have her for president than Trump. And voting for a third party for president doesn’t help us. If you want a third party president, you’d have to actually build up a third party platform through local elections, building up to electing third party governors and representatives. When that’s more common, then we can vote third party and not be throwing it away. Were there enough third-party votes for president to change the outcome? I don’t know for sure because I don’t have the numbers in front of me. I do know they could have changed the outcome for governors and representatives-at least in my state. But there were also plenty of people who just straight-up didn’t vote because they didn’t like her. The combined third-party and non-voter numbers definitely could have changed the votes of some states, if not the whole nation.

@ start by making a plan, find something to protect yourself, a gun if you can handle that, just for safety, because they very well can restrict us from buying one, if not it’s good to be safe, at least get pepper spray or a good knife, tazer, anything. outside of that if you’re in a dangerous rural area, leave, a lot of it goes to planning for whatever may happen, make a plan, build a little survival kit in a backpack so you can go if you have to, but hopefully that’s just worst case, most importantly for anyone no matter where is to try to find a community around you that isn’t loyal only to Trump, we need each other at this time, and we don’t have too long, but we do have a little bit of time, so just be prepared, keep yourself safe, I know a lot of people will move out of the country, but that’s not strictly possible for a lot of people, be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best, at this point we’re simply trying to be ready when all hell breaks loose, it’s scary but that’s the state of our country right now, and I honestly don’t believe it’ll last much longer, whether by foreign or domestic powers, learn maga and what they believe, project 2025 is almost here, and it’s not a conspiracy to be scared of what those words say, just be careful, smart, and have a backup plan, just in case, especially if you’re trans or queer, you’re a target, I’m a target now, America had its chance to choose its future and they chose this, it’s nothing like his first term, he knows what he wants to get more and more power and blood under his fist, so many countries have gone through this before, so we learn from them, we may not get hurt, but we also may be the new immigrants this time, there’s no telling what will happen, but it’s far far more scary than anything we’ve had in this country so far, not to panic, but to keep calm and have what we need to run if we have to, or rather stand our ground, whichever comes first. It was really surprising to me when I saw videos of people begging for a recount. I think liberals tend to be in a virtual echo chamber on social media, thus making them a bit unaware of what’s actually happening outside of their social circles. I understand why they want the recount, but she lost every swing state. those videos sound more like maga 2020 conspiracy TikTok’s then legitimate claims. some people just can’t accept that she lost due to her own campaign. obviously there were other factors involved in her loss, but I truly believe that Kamala accepted defeat before she even started campaigning. and as a result didn’t put in the effort to get more voters.

It was definitely one of the impacts, just not the most significant. Like, it would have picked up a lot of people in a couple key swing states, but maybe not enough to turn the entire course of events. It was really a mixed bag of multiple bad decisions and external factors culminating in ultimate defeat. Anyone who tries to say it was one thing is missing most of the picture, unless your one thing is just "they weren't being responsive enough to normal people's needs/desires/feelings and were imposing their own perception of the world onto everything instead"

In general, the majority of Americans are in agreement it's either something bad we shouldn't be doing or in the more self interested cases, that we shouldn't be spending so much money on another country for something people don't see as benefitting them, but especially so among left leaning Americans, with right leaning Americans being more likely to want to continue support. Very, very few potential voters in her pool were vehemently pro-US-Isr relations to the point it was a determining factor in their choice, people who were swung mainly for DT anyway. But based on her inaction, you had people stay home, people go third party, and some people even pick DT, and not all of the changes were directly a result of that position, though many were, for a lot of people it compounded on the sense that the Dems aren't responsive to Americans. In that sense, there's no knowing how many people it could have persuaded, because we'll never have a reliable metric for determining "the straw that broke the camel's back", only the black and white construct of a single issue voter
