They forget all the horrible things he did and remember, “inflation wasn’t this bad under Trump.” So they voted again for him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he absolutely makes things worse and then republicans take a beating in 2026 and 2028. That they do not is yet another indictment on the stupidity of the American voter. This time that's not even a little bit of an excuse. This idea that you have to be a genius to get educated on basic reality is the reason the bad guys always win. Trump literally promised to put a 10%-20% tariff on ALL imports into America. He’s literally looking for a Treasury Secretary who will swear to him to enact his tariff plan. Walmart and other businesses are already saying that this is certainly going to make them raise their prices, and that’s going to make a lot of Americans angry very quickly. If there’s anything Americans hate more than almost anything, it’s having to pay more for groceries than before.

Increased prices from anything that uses cheap, low skilled labour (from deporting all the people that usually do those jobs) which will mostly effect construction and, more importantly, food prices. And then to top it all off, RFK's regulations on the food industry (while some are probably good health wise) will also increase food prices.
