Comments about them not playing are stupid. They are all award winning musicians, this is a 60 second hype routine at a football game... Seriously.

They are getting their jobs done. Entertaining and energizing the crowd. They do it well. Do wish a bit more appreciation for the drummers had been shown too. But that's something their team/band mates can do for them too. ♡

This is the most I’ve ever seen cheerleaders interested in band You know, now that I come back to this it was probably because it was the dead of winter around 39 F with a wind chill of 32 F. And that the brass on my sax was so damn cold I couldn’t exactly focus on the cheerleaders.

Hey I’m in this video! For anyone wondering we usually practice a couple times a week, and build off of the previous routines by adding a couple new moves. It’s really easy to learn to, as long as you practice with your hands first! Last game of the year we teach it to all the band seniors and cheerleaders and dance team
@ajbfwb4 жыл бұрын
I'd say that program is well funded, and all those bones are identical and provided by the school, right? They appear to be intermediate or pro models, although I suppose they could be nice looking open wrap F-attachment horns that are actually Chinese, and a lot more affordable. Can you tell us the model? P.S. NICE WORK
@5tiles4 жыл бұрын
ajbfwb we mainly use either the f attachment Yamaha or Eastman trombones and they’re pretty good for middle and high school imo
@Aaron-cs3xl3 жыл бұрын
@@ajbfwb Would like to add that they're not provided by the school (except for maybe low income families), but most people pick up the same beginner instruments in middle school and either stick with those for high school marching band (especially if they get a second horn for concert playing) or just rent a different instrument if they've been renting a horn.
@ajbfwb3 жыл бұрын
@@Aaron-cs3xl Yep, as a trombonist that went through the school programs, then on to college and a pro career, I'm well familiar with that whole scenario.

A truly dangerous routine. When I was a 10th grader in a large highschool band (1970) we did a different complex show every week. During rehearsals we would march from the starting point to a desired point and then run back down the field to practice that part again. One such fine October morning as I ran back an upper classman was hot on my heals encouraging me to run faster. The slide on my trombone got trapped between his legs.. needless to say, my trombone became an art piece high on the band room wall for all to see. Can we say "twisted metal"?
