Liberty Names Freeze Head Football Coach

I am glad to see that Liberty is giving coach Freeze another chance to be a head football coach. I trust that he will be a blessing to this University. God knows his heart and I know my own heart. We all make mistakes and want God's mercy when we do. I will not judge another as I know how it feels to be judged. We as human beings have the sin nature. It is natural to want justice when we see God exposing another's sins. But when God exposes ours we want mercy. Have you noticed that? So I will pray for us to be supernatural like Jesus is and do unto others as we would have them to do unto us. I am not defending coach Freeze, simply turning him over to Jesus who does know his heart. This University will be judged for being Christ like and I can live with that. I would have it no other way. God bless Liberty University!

I'm glad he gets another chance. He should have accountability and scrutiny built in, but I'm glad Liberty is giving him a chance. Christianity is about grace and forgiveness in Christ so let's give this a chance and see if the Lord has changed his life.

You won't get much argument because we can all take comfort knowing that if this "fake man" wants to save you there won't be anything you can do to resist it. Saul persecuted Christians and God chose him to be an Apostle and became the author for much of the New Testament and was responsible for spreading the gospel that he had condemned for so long. Freeze spent much of this speech discussing his downfall at Ole Miss. The media and even many LU alumni and followers will question this hire because of the controversy under his tenure at Ole Miss. But I can't judge his heart because I know I have dirt in my own heart. Just hoping he stays on the right track for himself and his family and LU as well. And God bless Turner Gill...great, humble man who will be missed. Praying for Turner's wife and kids as well.
