I remember most of these tunes as they were played a lot by my relatives whenever I went around there. Just wish I was old enough at the time to go to the clubs and dance to them. Great vid.

@@richardstephens6957 My friend opened a night club some 10 years ago, i think he was trying to recreate this vibe. Has he and i had been there Liberty's in the 80's and 90's. He gave up after 3 years.

I started clubbing in 1985 & was only 17. In a way I wish I had been a bit older to really appreciate it. Fantastic times though!

I would have made some videos, but could n't afford a camcorder back then. Well done Debbie, I was thinking about the video you made and saw. It brought back so many wonderful memories of you younger days, and enjoying my life to the full. I will pass it around the 1980s club scene community. Again I have linked you to the 1980s Birmingham club page on Facebook.

Haven't been that way for years. Think it went down hill when younger customers and trouble in the late 90's. This was for more mature customers. Reason why there was never any trouble. Time when all the birds were skinny. Standing at the chrome rail brings back memories.

Wham had Libertys as an after show party. My brother in law was security at the NEC and all got invited back. George shook their hands and thanked them and said open bar help yourself's. Must have been around this time early mid 80's.

Wednesady nights at Libertys was the big popular night back in the 1980s. Between 1984 and 1989 it was the top club for 5 years. I recognise some people in this video.

What is the song at 9:45? The main lyric seems to be 'give it up for love'.
