It's really sad that one of the girl's parents got caught when trying to escape, :(

Looked like they all had fun telling stories about their homeland. I think in poorer countries people have more of a sense of community, closeness, and family means a lot to them. Glad to see these young people enjoying their lives. Good for them!

Joe Burns not poor countries, socialist countries

@@MaddiMxoxo it's mainly poor countries, they can be capitalist aswell, but when you dont have the luxury of food, education and entertainment, you have a closer connection with family and feel grateful to have them, there are less spoiled kid etc.

I can’t imagine how painful it is knowing your parents are so close yet so far. In another world being treated as a prisoner. Terrible

Thank you for this video. North Korean people have so much wisdom and feelings to give others and I'm very thankful for being able to learn from them. My vision of the world is very different since I started to learn about North Korea and its people. Thank you, lovely people, thank you LiNK.

They look like they were explaining things about Kim Jung Un and regime to each other but obviously they know all that 😂

To think they have to hope that their parents are still alive somewhere. There's nothing to say. Living in a constant fear of uncertainty. This isn't fair. I hope they're still alright and it gets better.

No, they risk their lives and the lives of their family members when they try to escape. If caught, the punishment is extreme. The evil regime of North Korea has to fall and its members made pay for the suffering they cause

It is odd to see them smiling when they talk about their families. Im wandering if it's a cultural thing or a coping mechanism?

I think they are more so happy to associate those memories as happy ones bc they are comforting ? Idk

I'm assuming it's a coping mechanism, a lot of people smile when talking about traumatic experiences.
