Since they don't have the Internet, it depends on when they will be airing it on TV? But wait, today that's digital as well & you need a special decoder with unique ID card to decipher it even if you get the signal. So do they smuggle them on VHS or CD/DVD? Or do Koreans still air the TV the analog way along the digital? Se-ri mentioned multiple times that the dramas were "10 years old", so they're not getting them in real time/TV, right?
@jamieblaire Жыл бұрын
@@picapica201 i read that it's common to buy USB sticks at the black market with foreign content on them (often south korean drama), so that might be how some of them find it. but i'm not sure, especially bc border control has been quite tight the past 3 years, as i heard. i'm not even sure if this method is still what they use currently
I love these three, they are fun and have good chemistry. Please let them react to other dramas etc. with NK in them.

I don't remember the name or how it ended (because I only saw 2 episodes) but it was a K-Drama about NK and SK having an exchange of athletes and a female athlete from SK fell in love with one from NK...or something like that:D

Why is it so short? I would not mind watching half an hour video about NK.

My father grew up in south korea in the 50s, and said it was kind of similar in south korea too. At stops merchants would sell you stuff through the the window. But you'd only have a few minutes to buy stuff before the train left.
@ojgfhuebsrnvn27814 жыл бұрын
I am from Ukraine i didn't live in USSR since i was born in 1993 but up to maybe 2005 we still had people selling thing in train too. Some of them were selling on train stations and some were walking through train and with loud voice offering something to buy . I think on some train stations its still a thing. Generally, nothing I told to my parents about North Korea surprised them, they just had nostalgic memories.

If you're interested in that, go watch videos by Kang Nara. She was a rich North Korean but she defected and now makes videos about North Korea, she's great to watch (:
@veeveegem3 жыл бұрын
@@Bucherviews actually the guy in this video is the most affluent one amongst all the NK defectors I’ve watched on youtube that reacted to CLOY, he’s actually an elite. In the previous videos, he said he’s from Pyeongyang and his dad owns boats restaurants, etc (if my memory serves me right) and even studied in China. Kang Nara, on the other hand, was from a rural area 2 hours or so away from Pyeongyang and has never set foot there. Hence, if you compare her commentaries to CLOY to this group, hers were very negative and sadly, she’s also close minded, not considering that she only represents one portion of NK while NK has rich, diverse regional culture.

I hadn’t thought about the fact that ‘crash landing on you’ has probably made its way to North Korea. I really wonder how those living in North Korea view it. I wonder if it had any effect on the people there.
@kerstinjernberg55056 ай бұрын
I also wonder if it would be seen as worse than watching other dramas? Like it could be seen as political in a way that the government in NK hate.

@momonomono4 жыл бұрын
They’re both defectors. You can be an elite and still be a defector. If you’re confused about how an ‘elite’ can be a defector, well a lot of times, they can be students who were studying abroad and just never came back. In other cases, if they have the money, they can bribe guards, or simply pay off brokers/smugglers.
