@barbgordon4697 I'm so happy to hear that. I feel that connection is the most important thing to have with people. That humanised approach and recognising that people deserve that connection. People need to feel understood and like they can relate to others. I personally don't relate to many people, which can make me feel unrelatable and is a great concern of mine in certain circumstances or with certain people. So I really loved this comment. Because I personally care about people, if they're comfortable and feel connected to those around them. I can get harsh, though, especially when I've had enough or feel like they aren't looking for a genuine connection. But ultimately, I want everyone to do well, whether that's away from me or not. I'm very aware of Maslows hierarchy of needs. Feeling a sense of connection is a vital part of the psychological development of others. Like I've literally got whole books on Maslows hierarchy of needs and Carl Roger's humanised approach. The rest are a gab fillers, hahahahahaha. I resonate with the authors I've mentioned, I know what they're talking about and why they're as accomplished as they are. If I can get my masters degree one day. I hope to write papers connected to what they've written about. Also, positive environments. I understand it better than other texts and lectures I've heard or read. I'm just like yes, then my brain starts connecting all the dots. I literally remember stuff from like two years ago. It stuck with me. Also, things I read about nureons and pruning, cognitive overloads. Nature vs nutuere, self efficacy, concept, and esteem. It's firmly in my brain, hahahahahaha. It's at the stage where i don't even need to look at a textbook for certain things, It just starts to pour out. Hahahahahaha. I'm like, yep, I know what that is.

@barbgordon4697 Honestly, they would probably fire me, hahahahahaha. Because I care more about what's best for people more than what the people in higher positions want. I've noticed that politics and policies always have ulterior motives that go against the best interests of everyone under them. That's not to say that so many have good intentions and support others and make changes or use policies and positions with grace and empathy. I've heard the line " you've pitted their interest up against ours" I've than looked at the policies and realised that what I did was actually me following policies to a high degree. I just don't like people telling me I've done the wrong thing when I've followed something to the highest degree. Australia has a pretty good education system, I met some directors of education who were very impressed with me. I also met s female one with short blond hair and got to have a really honest and genuine conversation. Politics are so unfriendly to people. Either that or people think they are following policies, but they are not. What they think and that they are actually doing are two completely different things. That's was a beautiful comment, and I really appreciate the kindness.

@Patty.29675 happy new year i hope 2025 is your best year yet. I assume you're referring to Jaxon. He is far more boisterous than I ever was, hahahahahaha. I was a quiet boy. I think he has had fun not having to go to school and spending time with all his family. I've been working with him to identify letter names and sounds. I'm seeing some steady progress, so I'm pretty happy. I'll just have to be consistent and keep encouraging him and joining in as well. Kids love songs, especially when the song is catchy. He loves music and sings constantly, so music is a good way to help him with his letters and sounds. So I don't spoil his holidays with work. He just thinks it's fun, hahahahahaha. Little does he know that he is working. If I grab a piece of paper and a teaching book. He says, " Brother, are you doing paperwork ? hahahahahaha. Then he wants to do some too.
