Oh, every time I go to the library I check out the themed tables. They are always awesome! Don't always like the theme of that table but I always go look.

🐈‍⬛😻 I rather enjoyed this vlog! Even looked for the book on my library's website/catalog. Being as I used to work in my library I can absolutely say "yes, please come talk to us! We rather enjoy helping people with their books and questions!" Going and just looking the shelves seemed to work rather well for ya this time, and there's always practice makes progress.. lol Loved the vlog and the kitty interlude!!

Thank you! I definitely don't mind talking to the people at the library, I just don't like to bother people if they have other things to do haha. As it's cold out and Rajah is spending more time inside, I expect lots of kitty interludes!

What a great pick from the library!! I do miss browsing the library shelves for random books. I love your reaction in the middle of the vlog. That was so authentic for when a book does something so unexpected. Now I am so interested in this book. 👀

Your reactions midway through this vlog have me laughing AND intrigued. And I love Rajah's Last Sprint banner shenanigans 😆 So many emotions from this read, and so many entertaining reflections on past/present/future Jess and audience. Present me appreciates all versions of past you that produced this. By the end of this vlog, you really have me wanting to eventually try this book! This looks like such a well stocked library. I visited mine at the weekend and it didn't have that many books, and there were too many placed in "General Fiction" which does not help when trying to find just something to try.

I get it! There definitely wasn't as much here as there was when I was younger, but our library system has spread from 1 library in town to three plus four within the county so there's a lot to chose from! It did take me a while to find the separated genres because it is all one giant section just labeled fiction, that was when I found the little stickers on the spines that told what genre they were. It was an interesting learning experience.

It definitely must be a thing for her! I looked at her other books and wasn't super interested. Honestly it was the witchy/magic part that pulled me in. Naturally.

It was soooo good! It's where I took all of the girls when they were here in October. I only get it every few months because I have to go to the other side of town but it be delicious. I'm sorry it made your food not as enjoyable.

I did watch the whole video though it took me all day because I had a busy day! I have a question; did the large print help? I have been wondering if I should try that. And I already check this book out of Libby, almost before you started reading it in the vlog. I love my local main branch library. I have not spent as much time at some of the other branches in the last few years, but our Library keeps them nice. The main branch is where the genealogy department is and I am friends with most of that department. I have not been there recently and now I really want to go. I think this was a lovely experiment. I think having no plan is fine. I have found some really awesome books by just poking around. But I also think having an idea before you go in is also fine. Like if you are in the mood for YA fantasy are you really going to pick something else out? If you have a readathon coming up then pick something for that. And honestly even if you do have a plan walk around. That first book, Wicked Women in Ohio, I want to check it out. It looked good. So by you just walking around your library I have come up with a few book ideas to look for. Thank you for that.

The large print did help but I still couldn't read for long periods of time if I was also using computer screens. Which is more than I can say for regular print. Our main branch is also where the genealogy department is, it's just in a different building across the street. I don't think I've ever been to any of the other branches, I may try them out though. That could be a good part of the experiment! Someone else who works at a library suggested that I pick a book from a themed display so I might go in with that in mind next time as well. I'm glad you were able to get some recommendations from the video!
