You can easily cheese PoS and it doesn't throw anything at you that you can't beat. Red comes when you have neither economy for a long fight nor emotion levels to actually fight the damn thing. You often either brick or run into a counter die and suddenly, the wolf has 3 Strength and you can't afford to clash with him. And then he spams mass attacks you can't afford to contest.

You are farther into the game, you have more emotion levels, you have real economy and you don't have to worry about kiling the Hermit, you just mindlessly beat her up and let Servant finish her off. I have never seen anyone take more than one try to beat SoW. Red? A constant nightmare.

@@wildfire_ servant doesn't restrict you to four light with zero abnormality pages, servant simply prevents damage after a certain point instead of (pretty much) instafailing you and you have a LOT more powerful stuff

you can already beat PT with UP stuff (barring abno page and EL access) without the need of this. I'm pretty sure the entire game is UP-confirmed, assuming that we can agree that Binah (and Angela for that matter) is a Canard page as stated in the game's code, otherwise apocalypse bird gets funky. Also maxrolling on the player's end makes for hilarious 10+ evade rolls (not counting combat preparation memes) so unless you want to restrict yourself to UL, which is a tier with absolutely no econ apart from olga stuff, it wouldn't make for much of a show

54:07 Unless I'm missing something you can't have other characters & floors be the red mist and thus have the benefits like the exclusive combat pages and the EGO... Red Mist is one of the better if not best key pages in the game and it carrying the floor as the main strength of it is pretty much the point.

Again, the red mist is really good. But I think other floors can make more use of having myongest. *cough* Yesod. *cough*

@@wildfire_ why would i sacrifice all my nuggets to make one strong red mist when i can make a character with red mist passive on binah floor and abuse weight of sin to gain 14 strength per turn mountain of corpses is good for turning your brain off, if you actually use your frontal lobe then you can do 100x better things with myongest

1:25 that might be caused by the action script thumbReload (used on all thumb ranged pages), which uses two separate motion sprites thus activating the VISUAL effect both when the script starts and the hit connects, but the effect's script only activates when the hit connects. i think. take with a very large grain of salt

Something similar happens with most pages that have multiple hits/animations in one dice, great split vertical activates the prey effect multiple times, same with furioso and pale hands

You're half-right. It uses two sprites, but for some reason, the aiming portion is set to "hit" the target too, which produces relevant effects. Compare it to Beatdown's animation, which only does it twice when it should despite having more sprites.

Yeah, Limbus is a joke of a game when it comes to the gameplay. It is so devastatingly sad that they just left both other games barely holding together with duct tape and focus on the game which is as much fun to play as tic-tac-toe

I think after watching for so long while not having access to my computer, I understand what these terms are finally starting to mean. I just started watching since it's very close to the idea I want of "Very good sound design, nice looking animations, and music", but now I understand what you mean when you say LoR gives you this but Limbus gave this whole Carten. From what I heard, the Library of Ruina Archipelago mod is indefinitely canceled as an official add-on. The body horror present in the game crosses the line for official distribution, so the randomizer will always remain unofficial, so people will need to generate configurations and games on their own. Meanwhile, Fear and Hunger is on the consideration list to be added as an official game.

@@fliermcduck I believe the original problem was that the game was unrated. The AP devs are very careful people so it got banished to the after dark server which I guess is fair enough. Not sure what's up with Funger. Especially since a universal modding tool for rpg maker games is still in the making.

@@arthurforni8957 A friend of mine told me about the projects buried in the Archipelago Discord server, and he told me about the list of games in consideration for being added to the main site. Apparently, Ruina's unrated status and its body horror have put it on an indefinite postpone from being added. I wouldn't have chosen it for my friend's multi-world anyway, but I was a little bummed to hear that.

You could use Final Stroke actually. Its rolls are decent even when you min-roll and yeah, the downside is obvious of it discarding all of your pages but I'd say it'd be somewhat useful for some difficult fights if you don't already have a strategy laid out for them.

Limbus in terms of story is just as good and sometimes even BETTER than Ruina (canto 7 was peak, it made me cry). But from a gameplay perspective, it's quite literally a washed up version of Ruina, something you would find in a PREQUEL. And the excuse is that it's a mobile game which is ironic cuz they still haven't added a fast forward feature so that excuse goes out the window. Speaking of which, I would love a mobile port of Ruina but I understand that PM ain't great in that department...

Banning Claws is stealing half of the floor's power though... It's arguably better than the other banned card and is the strongest strategy the floor can offer, so I wouldn't say it's fair to call Language overrated unless this arbitrary rule is enforced (which by default is not the case). Speaking of extra rules, will WoS be allowed?

There is a hidden mechanic in the game that gives Abno cards a value (the number to the right of the name of the page when I show them) that changes the odds of getting them. For example: Ashes is a +0 bias page and happy memories is a +2 bias page. Though they are both awakening pages you'll need more positive emotion coins for happy memories to appear than ashes. Since in this run I'm constantly generating negative emotion coins I'm unable to get any positive emotion coins aside from a very few during higher emotion levels. This effectivly locks me out of getting any positive bias pages.

@ i acknowledged it, thought about it a while, and my conclusion is that i think you should reconsider what you consider a limbus key page. i personally think the only real keypages you have no choice but to play exactly the same in every fight (mostly because the pages in question are the best in class or are fixed and theres no flexibility), like you would in limbus, are the red mist, binah, argalia and roland. The fact that you even brought up smoke kim as an option should tell you its nothing like limbus.

Tai i disagree with you on the little red riding hooded mercenary fight, ts was so easy i yawned throughout it, all you do is hit the wolf until it staggers and then the mercenary finishes it off with her increased strength, like honestly if you have ever struggled on that fight i have to ask how, its just long and boring
