I love your tutorials, and the tip I really appreciated (which was not really something you mentioned) was how you store your little sponges on the bottoms of the distress ink pads - brilliant! :-)

Yes, I used to put them on top, but then the ink was obscuring the name of the ink

Thanks....I didn't know about the mountain folding for strength on the scoring! I haven't done a JJ, but I think I will attempt one for myself, because I write in journals all the time....so why not make them pretty. I also have prayer journals to, so I can make some for that as well.......My aunt is one of the few people these days that keeps a paper phone book to WRITE all her numbers, addy's and birthdates in....I think I may try to alter one for her for Christmas....you are giving me all kinds of ideas!

The mountain and valley fold: ALWAYS been a huge mystery to me until now. THANK YOU for explaining that lol. I always go so confused when my Stampin Up! demonstrator would tell us how to fold and she never explained that to us when we scored...she just said "fold it on the correct side"...well what side was that lol. So thank you for explaining that. I finally get it now haha!

thanks you explain things so well, would you use score tape to stick flaps down also, or is wet glue best?
@delygirl19619 жыл бұрын
+Airwen Evans In this case either would work, just be careful not to get glue on the inside of the pocket, or have the tape over hanging the edge. If you are making a pocket that doesn't have a back, in other words, had 3 flaps that you adhere to a page, then glue works best. That's because tape has a tendency to catch anything you put into the pocket
@ljstorey18 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I know what you mean on the score board thing. I always just flip my paper over & score at the same spot. It's much easier to score from the outside.

On many of your videos and several other junk journal channel also, everyone talks about junk journal junkies on Facebook. Is that a closed group now? why not glue the side flaps behind the back part of the library envelope so the pocket doesn't have inside parts that could catch on things you are inserting?
@delygirl19615 жыл бұрын
nowvoyagerNE go for it. I do it that way if I’m going to be attaching it to a page. If not, then I don’t want to see the flaps. My suggestions are not a hard and fast rule. I believe in to each his/her own.
