One of my first ASMR memories is of those crinkly dust jackets. I think of my elementary school librarian and her graceful hands. And the stamper on the log. 💕 Thanks for this blast to the past!

When I volunteered at my kids middle school library, this and repairing books was my favorite thing! I actually enjoyed every bit of it, if I could do a second act, it would be as a librarian. ☺️

"A second act". I like that. Remind me what your first act is/was. I never had a part in the play. I raised a family. Married three times. Lots of jobs in later years. Plenty of drama, though! Lol. 😂

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction my first act was a stay at home mother. But before I had kids, I used to be a hairdresser. After my kids finished school I was a nanny, and then an Uber driver. Now I’m “retired “ 😁 empty nester. 🤪

Oh my gosh I still go to the library just to listen to the books lol crinkles are the best only I didn’t know about asmr until 3years ago . Thank you for delivering exceptional content

Rebecca, Ive never commented before but saw the books and got so excited. I wanted to let you know how much your ASMR reading of childrens books helped me get through chemotherapy last year. I'm so hoping you read some more! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Yes I've done it a few times years ago when my kids were in school. And when I was a kid, the library/classroom was ASMR all day long and I didn't realize it until a few years ago when I learned about ASMR on youtube. Just like another subscriber here mentioned. Nothing is as relaxing than sitting in the library. And you are the perfect person that brings us all back to those days. Fortunately I can still experience the atmosphere when I do go to my library so close to my house. Or, I can simply watch your videos from the comfort of my home🤣💤🥰

Rebecca! I love love the part where you do library chores! (Lol which is basically the whole video) this really helps me relax a lot. Exam seasons are coming and in having a hard time here. incredibly stressed. We're having oral exams. Today, I had my Chinese oral exam which is in Cantonese I prayed many times before it, and the teacher said I did really well and even praised me in front of the class. I'm a bit weak at Cantonese, so this thank God for this! And tomorrow we have mandarin oral exams, and English and we have a quiz which is a subject taught in Chinese and I'm bad at it.😢 Mandarin is my weakest language, and I've been told I sound like I'm speaking English when speaking it 😂 bc for me it's just a bunch of random consonants mixed together and it doesn't make any sense. I'm really bad at it, I stutter a lot. Ughhhhhhhhhhhh I prepared for 5 hours today ugghhhhhh it's so annoying ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh And for the English one I'm not worried about it bc I speak English better than everyone in my class and the teachers said you can't really prepare for the English oral exam because it's a group discussion. The topic isn't given beforehand. But anyways I'm going to sleep! I really can't wait for the no talking version 😂😂 this one is too good! I'm just afraid I'll be distracted by your beautiful voice and listen to what you're talking about because I don't rlly like listening to ppl talk when I sleep. Ok gn! It's almost 12 am I have to sleep or I'm gonna die tmr. Byeeee!!!

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction My primary language is eng! But I speak Cantonese at home so I guess it's both? But I'm just not that fluent in Cantonese, and English is just my most fluent language. I just got home from sku, and I did well on my English and did okay on my mandarin. I'm pretty happy about that!
