Every time you started a new reason I was preparing myself for that to be the reason why being a librarian isn't worth it but every single one was just pretty much a minor inconvenience. I'm glad to know there are jobs out there that are worth doing that won't make you cry when you leave for the day.

So recognizable working at a library. The kids section is the worst, especially the picture books. We have cubby's with A-B etc. on it and all the books with authors last name starting with A or B go in there, no order... and even so I find books who belong in A somewhere in M. Oh the piles of library books at my home!! But, can you imagine I have colleagues who never read!!! I just can't, nope... can't wrap my mind around that 😀

Oh kids are very… ‘creative’ when they re-shelve our books too 😝🤪 I feel like I go to put one book back, and end up finding 10 more in the wrong place! Isn’t it weird when people say “oh, I don’t read books”. Like, how?! 😳🫤

Not a librarian and yes I have to say, Hello my name is Vicky and I'm a book hoarder 😂 I suppose that for the wallet working at a bookstore would be much worse than the library. Even if I'm not a librarian, I have started putting books on hold with my husband's library card because mine was too full of holds that I was waiting for.... yup.... I have to admit that the number 2 or your list is also a problem working at an office! Technology.... 🥵

Hi there! There are 3 full time staff (Branch manager, Children’s Librarian, Senior Customer Service) and 4 Permanent Part Timers. Then we also have Casual Customer Service Staff who come when needed too 😊👍🏼 Thanks so much for watching! ❤📚

When you go to do a quick shelve with three books and the shelf is chock full so you have to set your books aside and reorganise and shuffle the shelf 😭 devastating

I think if I was in the library I would love to shelf books all day 📚📚📚📚😂 just to be able to go through the books there 😂 , i did work in a second hand book shop years ago and I loved shelving 😂 and in my job which is not book related 😏 I can relate to the other things like photo copy not working and computers etc and I am not in the library 😂 and also the thirst thing that’s me as well I think it’s really the air con that makes us thirsty and the contast talking etc ….. am loving the cold weather 🥶 not the heat 🥵 nice foggy cool morning today and I love it 💛 ……. 📚💞📚

Maybe you should do a video of what are some of the book titles are currently popular so borrowed a lot or titles at the moment that are heavily reserved at moment or what displays that are put up for autumn 🍂 or winter ❄️ titles 📚📚📚📚📚

@@very.casual.librarianI was thinking of becoming a librarian or librarian assistant myself. I keep getting in career tests. Is it very difficult to study? Can you become one part-time? My mum thinks this job suits me the best as well. I like the tasks involved and am drawn to books. I can’t read very well though, not sure if I have a learning disorder. Could I still be a librarian if I can’t read very well?

@crueltyfreecolorist1025 Absolutely you can! (Don’t worry - I am a REALLY SLOW reader and I’m not a naturally gifted student either! But I do like learning!) You don’t need any specific qualification to be a library assistant in most places! Just a love of chatting to people and helping them find what they need! Your local library might even have work experience positions to let you get a feel for the job! And you can definitely do it part time! (I do!) As for being a Librarian, there is a qualification for that (it’s a Grad Certificate or a Degree) but you can study those flexibly too - I’m doing mine part time and online! Good luck! 😊❤️📚
