In my opinion is an excellent product. Bought Jeevan Saral at the age of 37 years, term 33 years. Uptill now paid 12 premiums of 1L 4k. I called up LIC customer care phone number to ask Surrender value, i am told that its 19L 60k. Then i asked its Loan availability value, I am told its 10L 60k. I intend to continue paying instalments till i can. If i can not then i will make it as Paid up policy by not paying further premiums. If in requirement of funds then i can avail cheap loan (at 10% ROI). Its a good product in my opinion, only criteria is pay minimum 11 instalments (11 years).

Why is maturity sum assured less than total premium paid during the whole policy tenure. My father took this policy at 45 . 6065 rs half yearly were paid for last 10 years now the maturity amount we are getting is 125773 . Premium paid is 121300 . So overall interest we are earning is 125773-121300 = 4473 . 10 saal me 4000 . Pls give your remarks on this . Thank you

Return is nearly double if you do not consider the future value of money/inflation. If you add the future value of money, at an inflation of 4% then it is much lesser. If inflation is at 6% then we are basically getting no return. No?

Toatal amount paid - 376320. Return as per his calculation in 16year is 676384. So rate of intrest given is 6.5% which is very poor return. Now our inflation is 5-6% yearly so our net return at that time is 1 or 0.5%.

Mera D.O.B-03/07/1975 hai maine 4999.84+104.16 Ka lic krwaya us time jo mujhe chart dikhya gya usme mujhe lic pura hone pr 40lacks milega. Ab aapke es video se pta chal rha hai ki wo chart galat tha. Ab mai aapse aagrah krta hu ki ab aap mujhe btaye ki kitna paisa mil payega agar koi labh na to bhi btaye mai abhi es policy ko khatam kr du.

सर जी मेरे पिता की आयु 60 वर्ष थी जब उन्होंने जीवन सरल वर्ष 2010 में पॉलिसी ली और उनकी पॉलिसी 10 साल बाद यानि 2020 में मैच्योर हो गई है जिसका प्रीमियम ₹500 प्रतिमाह था और उनको जो मैच्योरिटी अमाउंट मिला है वह 20000 के लगभग मिला है जबकि हमारे खुद के पैसे 60000 जमा हुए थे तो इतना कम अमाउंट क्यों मिला कम से कम अपना पैसा ही वापस मिलना चाहिए था। रिप्लाई करें प्लीज।

I started this policy in 26 years age, Policy term is 35 years, premium is 36390/year & sum assured is 750000. During issuing me this policy, he showed me that table & told that at the time of maturity, total amount will be near to 1 crore rupees. I am doubtful now that i will get even 15 Lacs or not at age of 60? It is looking like a bad investment & very low Sum assured (Just 7 Lacs), should i surrender this policy now or at what point of time? Please advice. Thank you.
