Damn, morgott is really agile but the dragons fire breath is op 😆. Nice camera work btw, really loved the switch perspectives and slowmo.

Fortissax would be dead if Morgott didn't stagger so much, even with the energy weapons doing almost no damage thanks to his resistances. These guys looked like two clowns in a slap fight. Please, From Software, buff these bosses.

Morgott going immediate ape-shit on Fortissax's poor leg with no trouble whatsoever at the start of the round made me remember that he has a homing lightning attack It wouldn't spectacularly change the fight but it just made me wonder if there were way to have him perform it against enemies

If you mean Fortissax's AOE lightning strikes, he tried them several times. Whether against a player or, from this, another boss, the poor guy cannot aim them. None of the ancient dragons can seemingly aim them, outside of the puzzle dragon with the birds and Placidusax. If you mean his static cling passive effect though, then yeah, that could have helped his dignity here. It just felt so bad watching his health instantly melt below half until Morgott did energy combos that did like one pixel per hit. Even the Deathblighted version of the (second) strongest dragon shouldn't look like a default weapon move would chop him down like a reed. From went from Midir to this.

I definitely took more tries to kill Morgott than Fortisaxx. Forti was so easy with Frostbite Rogier's Rapier and the fact that it's undead, it does not make any sense why it was weak to my frostbite but resistant to Morgott's Holy damage. Also, ER Dragons have little to no armor on their legs which makes these fights extremely boring or lackluster for a better word and of course less cinematic unlike DS3 Dragons which were top tier..

Oh my goodness, I knew the Ancient Dragons were kind of jank, but Fortissax is dependent on Morgott's AI not just Cursed Swording him to death for a laidback sweep like a DS3 scrub R1'ing a Darksword. Morgott's varied fighting style, as if attesting to how he repelled each demi-god in the lore, means he'd absolutely realize to just use this scrub R1 strategy in a story context too. Even here, Fortissax needs Morgott to be Staggers McGee, as if Morgott somehow has 1/3rd of Margit's poise. He's falling over after virtually ever move, and Fortissax is still in danger and missing some of his lightning spear waves, a move designed to stop people hitting his legs, while Morgott is just hacking at his legs. This is also a master class in showing how the ancient dragons literally can't aim their lightning strikes AOE, except for Placidusax, their Elden Lord. That's not a "no player, as opposed to enemy, to target" thing, that's how the move always works in general. This wasn't even first to three like the other videos. What the heck happened to these poor guys in the other takes? I've got a sinking feeling that Godwyn beating Fortissax wasn't even meant to be an impressive feat. Heck, Leyndell looks like it took more permanent damage from Gransax falling over dead than from even one apparent attack by him. Oh no, what if Fortissax didn't even have great holy resistances until after Godwyn befriended him? Fortissax even won yet I can't help feeling bad for him.

I've always liked the tournaments to determine who the strongest base-game NPC is in a From Software game. I think the Brothers & Mod channel did something similar, but they often do things in several 40-minute videos, and sometimes their rules are vague.
