Licht und Schatten is a everlasting soundtrack and really makes you think and feel. Also tokyo ghoul is the first anime i watched and it immediately made me realize that OSTs play a huuuge role in anime. Tokyo Ghoul takes a lot if inspiration and illusions from the The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka a German story about a man suddenly transformed into huge centaped like creature. Do you remember kaneki always reading it? The psychological issues of the mc from that book mirror Kaneki's own mental state. His self loathing image and suicidal leanings.
