It is also converging if you see the white line. It is not as small as the other residuals.

Great video! I have a question, I'm working on the same problem but with imposed tempratures on the moving wall and on the bottom one, and i am trying to visualise the temprature contours to show the effect of convection for different Richardson number. Can you tell me the exact parameters that i should change in Fluent solver in order to study this case? Thanks you in advance.
@TanmayAgrawal7
@TanmayAgrawal7 3 жыл бұрын
When it was an isothermal case, we change the top wall boundary velocity (lid velocity) in order to change the Reynolds number. Similarly, I believe you can have different combination of parameters (delta T and U) to have diff. Richardson numbers.

@TanmayAgrawal7
@TanmayAgrawal7 3 жыл бұрын
You'll need, most likely, a coding based platform. LBM can work on parallel system, so having an Nvidia graphic card or a system with more number of cores would always be useful.

Hello bro i am new to CFD. Please suggest how to get a good foundation about this subject. Thanks FYI i have learned basic geometry drawing and meshing too but still feels weak about its working and sorts specially those options in the setup.
@TanmayAgrawal7
@TanmayAgrawal7 4 жыл бұрын
If you're after concepts, please start with a book. Anderson's book is an extremely great start. For software, knowlege comes handy otherwise you'd feel like pressing buttons and getting all sort of results. Meshing in itself is a huge segment and many things affect it. There are many online courses about CFD. Please refer to NPTEL website.

Sir i request you to please make one video tutorial for flow in rectangular open channel of length 5 metres and width 15 cm with a small rectangular cavity attached below the bed of open channel. Width of cavity should be equal to width of channel and length of cavity can be taken as 30 cm using VOF model. I shall be very thankful.

In ANSYS ,you have taken steady state ,but in nxt coding video you have taken it unsteady problem ,Why? reply appreciable
@TanmayAgrawal7
@TanmayAgrawal7 6 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. The reason why I chose unsteady in coding is to demonstrate iterations in time domain. Ultimately, if there are no perturbations for an unsteady state problem, it yields and becomes a steady state solution.
