Please help me! I have a Kenmore 110.24622300. The latch looks exactly the same as yours except the metal part is broken, plus the plastic clam part. Do you think it's possible to zip-tie it together at this stage, or do I need a new one? I would really appreciate any help! Thank you!

Can a lid switch be bad even if it still clicks? My lid switch clicks, but water doesn't drain. There is *no* sound coming from the washing machine as to indicate that the pump is running or struggling.

If it's clicking, then the tab is being pressed by the lid and the mechanism should be working. There may be a loose wire? If not, then the mechanism that the lid comes in contact with may be faulty.

You can also bypass the entire switch with a jump wire onto the wiring harness underneath the top part that flips back where the controls are.

Terrible idea!! That switch is a safety that stops the spinning when the lid is opened. ANYONE READING HIS RESPONSE ABOVE: DON'T DO IT!
