That's a really good reminder that if you want to play with air tools, you're going to want a decent sized compressor - we have a twin cylinder, I guess it's 50 litre (might be bigger) compressor and it can only just keep up. Ideally something like a 150 litre (or more), belt drive compressor is good (the belt drive ones tend to be quieter), but they're huge, so you then need to build an enclosure onto the back of your shed to house your compressor!!!! That's a really useful video Ben - don't buy the air nibbler unless you have, or are planning to get a big compressor. All that said, air tools are so tiny and they do sound so ace.

I do have a Lidl air die grinder. Very dinky and very nice. Many thanks for watching!

@@BensWorkshop Yeah, the air tools are nice and tiny - you can see why virtually every car workshop uses them, just swap the hose from one tool to the next, simple.

I was hoping to get the electric one a few weeks ago but they were sold out . Looked good value compared to other brands ! 👍🏻

Certainly works, the difference, pros and cons are clear. If I was not intent on buying a big compressor the electric is a great tool for sheet metal, no doubt but the air one is great with enough air. Many thanks for watching, please like, share and if you like the channel, subscribe! (If you have not already).

That is quite a compressor. How much did it cost? Also does it run off a 13 amp plug? Many thanks for watching!

Very thanks, I am definitely gonna buy one. I think i will go for the AIR one. Yes I know pneumatic tool needs a lot of air,, but for me I can use that anywhere with my fuel compressor. I will wait for LIdl for that.

With a bigger compressor do you suppose the air tool would work a LOT faster?
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Yes. I'd expect it to be faster than the electric. When I get one I will demonstrate. It needs 7 CFM, or 200 litres a minute. Many thanks for watching.
