You've done 4 great videos, Ben. Many thanks - all were extremely helpful. I wonder could you tell me where I can get a new strimmer head - my own hit a tree and the eyelets and spring went for a flying journey into the long grass. The Komparnass website sells one for a similar model, designated PBK 4 A2. It looks nearly the same but a little different all the same. I can find no mention of spare parts for mine/your model PBK 4 B3 anywhere on the internet. Any help would be most gratefully received. Godfrey.

True beast machine. I bought one of this Parkside chainsaw 20v PKSA20-LIC3 Mid May 2024, luckily the one I bought was the last one in my local Lydl. I think Lydl stopped selling this series. but there's a new one but it's smaller. There are also some others from Parkside called Pruner for long reach branch cuts. They are good stuff the product items made by Parkside.

Is there any disadvantage to using the rotating blade as a strimmer for soft weeds?
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop Ай бұрын
Not particularly. Depends on what else is around it. It is not good to use it where it might knock into brick or concrete. If you are away from hard things, fill your boots. Again, many thanks for watching.

I haven't actually powered up mine yet, just tried it out for handling familiarity. The bit sticking out of the fore-handle kept poking me in the thigh and crotch. I can't see the point in it, what's that bit for? Is it ok to use the tool having reversed that handle with the sticky-outy bit on the other side?

I used a 210 all winter for hiking and backpacking here in Norway this year. Very reliable stove if you've done due maintenance. The Optimus 111 is often hailed as bombproof, but the 210 has less parts and is in my opinion more reliable.

What's with the weird 500nm extract but only 100nm tighten? Is there any way around that? Any modification could be performed?
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop 2 ай бұрын
It is so you could not possibly over tighten. Not as far as I am aware. The battery one does up to 500 both ways so I prefer it. Also means I do not have to run a main lead out to the car which is where I mostly use it. Many thanks for watching. Please like, share and if you like the channel subscribe.

Your video has been really helpful but I need help with the actual wires of my Brook Gryphon motor. A1 is a unsheafed wire Z2 is a red wire. Z1 is a red wire A2 is the same as A1 unsheafed.
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop 2 ай бұрын
Basically you have an A coil and a coil. You should see resistance on the A coil of between 3 and 10 ohms depending on the power output of the motor. You might not see any across the Z coil due to the capacitor. However you can check by opening up where the capacitor is checking continuity to one end of the Z coil you should then find the resistance between the other end of the capacitor and the other Z lead. Should be greater than the resistance of the A coil. Once you have confirmed this, put mains across the A coil, and jumper the Z coil across the A coil coil. To reverse the motor try swapping the z coils relationship to the A coil. When testing, wear gloves and plug the motor in via a switched outlet you can easily reach. Hope that helps. Please like, share and if you like the channel, subscribe!
