EXCELLENT REACTION. In the interest of the varieties of styles that Dan can do so very, very well, I would suggest that you switch out, perhaps, to "Nessun Dorma" (oh, just WAIT until you hear that one), then maybe hit one that could sort of relate to N.D., in reverse -- "Priscilla's Song" (from The Witcher series). There are two versions of that. Personally, I prefer the non-metal one. I LOVE the metal one, BUT...I love what Dan does with the softer version, even more. Then, still in the interest of variety, you might want to go directly to "Burn, Butcher, Burn!" Any or all of those would be GREAT starters for the new year. 😀

He once said that he hears the music in his head as it should be. He sings so powerfully and so soulfully, for example: “An American Trilogy - Elvis Presley Cover” and “Son of Pain - Rapsody of Fire Cover”, that you need tissues. “Sleeping Sun - Nightwish Cover” and “Bohemian Rapsody - Queen Cover” - absolutely unique. I can totally relate with what you said about the mood the song gets you in, it's spot on. I love this one, it's my favorite Dan cover. My recommendation is Dan's "Gethsemane" (it's from Jesus Christ Superstar), it will blow your mind, not only is it great vocally but Dan shows some acting skills as well and that's what makes it so captivating. He embodied the role of Jesus perfectly for the song.

Yup. He was working on the “Peaches” song this year and even talked about it on a livestream. People were expecting it, then on a later livestream Dan said he actually would not be releasing it. He realized he didn’t actually like the song and the only reason behind uploading it would have been for the views. When he realized this and was honest with himself about his underlying motivation, he scrapped the whole project. I don’t know many artists that would do this after putting the work in and talking about it publicly. Good for him.

I agree completely! I have no doubt that he would have improved it greatly, but I'm so glad that he shelved that project and didn't do it just because so many other people did. That's why I'm glad he doesn't have more Disney covers and anime and sea shanties. I love that he is true to himself first and then us by doing songs that he truly loves and not just "the next big thing" songs.

Dan is an exceptional singer, I've been following him for some years now, he upgrades every song he covers. Another singer of whom I can say the same is Tommy Johannsen. He is the guitar player for the band Sabaton, but he also has his own channel where he releases a cover song every Friday. He also has some outstanding vocals. Pick any song you fancy, there's not a bad one among them - just as with Dan's catalogue.

You captured the essence of Dan very well in this reaction! I love Dan's DragonForce covers, especially this one and Starfire. I became a DragonForce fan because of Dan and even saw nearly every show on their North American tour, in 2022, I believe. They livestreamed the tour on their Twitch channel and it was so fun! As good as they are, though, Dan just elevates them so much, just like he does to every single song that he sings. Keep them coming! You've got a long way to go yet!
