Dan has a particular interpretation here. I’m an older christian and I’ve had a lifetime of hearing Oh Holy Night, I became insulated from the power and triumph of THE message. What is timid about breaking chains and ending oppression? Nothing! But we can forget that the tender babe in a manger grows into the mighty warrior savior KING and God’s own thunderous voice could be heard, no? Dan and Victor’s rendition awakened my soul to this and I love it! Appreciated your dialogue and expressions, enjoyed your reaction a lot! Thank you and Merry Christmas. ❤

This grandma, 69, LOVES this! ❤ That man can sing, no doubt about it. And I love the guitar solo! ❤ It is an unusual way of singing this, but I do not find fault or insult in it. There are ’churches’ that are downright blasphemous in their performances and services. We all have our favourite styles and genres, and no one can order someone to love this, but give the man some credit. Even his attitude, body language is proper and far from provocative. And for the rest: let God be the judge.

@maggiegoossens1894 -- Agreed! One thing I mentioned on another reaction, after someone started making accusations about how he had messed up such a "sacred song" (sigh--there IS no such thing), is that there are PLENTY of these same over-critical BELIEVERS who have been making these accusations and tearing Dan down for "ruining O Holy Night," who will turn right around and say that the LOVE to hear Dan sing "Bring Me to Life!" Most of them don't even know WHY he put the growls in there, but they LOVE IT! So...what makes them think that THIS one is any different? They say that it's because it's a "sacred Christmas carol."
