This is a big deal in Sweden. We have a long history of table tennis in this country but except for Falck it's been a while since we had so many good players and Truls might be the biggest talent since Waldner. Remember, we're a country with only 10m people. Having three swedes in finals (single+doubles) feels amazing. Let's go! 🇸🇪

Great fight by Timo. How he could push himself with such pain deserves great respect. Especially with Truls "exploiting" his abdominal muscle injury by playing always in his wide forehand. Not accusing Truls here, I guess this is what you have to do on such a level. Just wished those two could have met in their best shape. Good luck to Truls in the finals.

Even is this was the tactic, not all players can alter their games to get those angles consistently....Moregard has exceptional skills and could execute (with enough power as well). Going out to the forehand without power and a steep angle would not have worked...

Similar control over the tempo of the rally. I've got to play Waldner and it seems he's never in a horry. This kid has better backhand possibly (if not such a great forehand overall). He would be great with the old 38mm ball with those counter blocks.

Love Timo, but he is not in his best shape right now, because of the injure. We can see pain on his face after every fast rally. IMHO in this condition he would have no chance against FZD, Truls has more chances right now.

More you watch this video, more you like both of them. I think both of these two players are very Humble and have a great respect for Ping Pong players and for each other. It takes a long time TT fan to recall the golden names from the good old days... J-O won his 1st silver medal from a major competition at the age of 18 (World Cup), and 1st world championship at the age of 23. So let's see what Truls can do! Looking forward to the final match!

We said the same about Matthias Falck but he faded away. The most difficult and underrated element in sports is consistency. We always look at elegance, style, flair, racket skills etc but we forgot that important element consistency. It is very hard to maintain consistency in sports and few have managed that.

I think an injury of your opponent can also confuse and weaken you. Best example of this is a match between Ovtcharov and Samsonov, where Samsonov almost couldn't play his forehand at all because of muscle injury, and won anyway. So both players in best form wouldn't mean, Timo would win. On this level it's often a question a few points.
