Almost bought this, but the way they chose to do the boom cylinder i think they need to reconsider.

Like the mass of it, detail is ok. Was comparing with Tadano.

Yea, I think the tadano one is better in my opinion.

Not bad, but Conrad quality is lacking, paint on the boom sections where the holes are, holes in the tip section that it does not need, loose sheave axles in boom head, casting issue on main boom section, not sanded or filed before paint, same old junky 3 sheave block. I had higher expectations for it I guess

Oh I agree, typical Conrad quality lol. I didn't have too much paint to deal with but everything else seems typical for this model. Worse thing is of course the crappy plastic cylinder but I liked how heavy and stable it is. Too bad it won't hold a load. And it looks great sitting there. Hey, I got to see one right off the 101 working on a Casino next to the Cardinals Stadium. Sweet little crane in real life. There was an LTR1100 on the site too.

There might be something 3d printed on shapeways, I haven't looked for one so I don't know

I hope you read this. I know a die cast lr13000 doesn't exist (that I can find), however I'm currently building a 1:45 scale Lego technic lr13000, as the name brand one is a disgrace. The trouble I'm having is finding info on the superstructure. I know you work with cranes and maybe you could help me out with what's going on with liebherrs pdf files. There isn't much info on the assembly process and not too many pictures pin on the web showing the individual parts being assembled. Any help would be much appreciated. Edit: saw the Central Crane. You a fellow Hoosier?

Ah, I actually have not seen many photos of it being assembled either, as usually it's on big chemical/power plant jobs that prohibit photos of any kind on the job. I have not tried to download or look up assembly photos in the manual though either. But yea I'm a Hoosier lol

@@cranedude07 I work at 7 blast up in east Chicago. We had a Manitowoc 18000 for the second time this year recently. In the past we had twin lr11000s (2014) and in our 2019(2020?) remind it was an lr11000, 18000 with maxer and two other tall cranes but I didn't get the make as they were painted over. We use central a lot. The biggest they let us run is an 80 ton terex rough terrain. Anything bigger comes with a an operator.

@@cranedude07 Funny enough, in my quest for pictures, I stumbled on your posts on a die cast forum from a decade ago talking about the 13000 being at the bp refinery. I knew a contractor (that shall remain nameless lol) that snuck me in to see the crane up close and personal. Had I been really into this stuff back then and knew you, I woulda got you in as well. That thing is an absolute unit. I work at a blast furnace in east Chicago and could even see the cabling from there.

@mephInc haha, wow. Yea I seen it back in 2019 when it was up in toledo Ohio. I didn't get up close to it but I could see it pretty good from the road. But I also flew the drone and got some Aerial shots of it while keeping some distance. It had the power boom in it. It is a beast for sure.
