How are you perfect gaurding all the hits without timing them?

I am timing all of them. Do you mean the perfect guard with the sword? It has a really awkward timing but it is consistent in a way. The way I would describe it is a moment before the enemy is going to swing forward on their attack, hold R2. So it has to be an attack with a long animation. Will take some trial and error.
