@@KeepItSwift yes, at first i tried to fight him in the street but that was difficult and at that time i didn't know there was a stargazer not far behind him. So now i just run past him to the stargazer and activate it, it's much easier because there is more room to fight and if you die, your ergo is right there, then just walk down the stairs a little bit to trigger the fight and run back up to the stargazer area to fight him Glad you enjoyed, I appreciate that.

This is such a good weapon for one they just give you at the beginning of the game

@@Jwoosleit totally is, I think it was a helping hand for beginners or people struggling at first, because the glaive is just amazing in more ways than one and makes the game much easier for the most part between its attack power and the special (fable art) deflection or parry that seems to do more posture damage than regular parrying does.

wait if I do a perfect block with the fable art it doesn't consume the fable slot??

@@Mortadelo_ it doesn't, only if you miss the parry and just dodge. When you get the dodge-parry correctly you can counter with R1 which is also a free fable art counter, if you use R2 for a counter after a successful dodge-parry then you will use up one slot on the counter, but that counter is very powerful

How are you losing and gaining fable slots at the same time?

It's the way this weapon is set up. You use triangle (or Y on xbox) to perform a (fable art) dodge similar to that of the Two Dragons Sword, and it will cost you 1 fable art slot. Here's the difference. With the glaive, when you press triangle at the right moment to parry or deflect the attack, then the dodge also parries, when you dodge-parry successfully then you do not lose a fable art slot. So that's what you see probably, fable art gets used when I special dodge but it comes right back because the dodge also parried. After a successful dodge-parry you have an option for a fable art counter attack with R1/RB or R2/RT. Using R1 fable art counter doesn't use up a slot, so it's free, and the R2 counter will use up one fable art. Hope that makes sense.

@@adako25 Just checked it. You are absolutely correct and thanks for the explanation. R1 riposte is free but deals less damage. R2 is very powerful. Triangle parry is free fable arts slot parry. This is quite good compared to what I previously thought.

​@@adako25 fun fact with 2 dragon sword u don't even need fable charge...it's just default parry with additional stunn the enemy to...or break his attack in between 😂...best weapon so far...

@@shubhamdebnath9752 correct, but the conversation Was about the fable art parry aspect of the weapons, not the charged R2/RT aspect, which the Glaive doesn't have.

Regular deflections or parries (R1/RB) sure you can, but this weapon allows Special Parries (triangle on PS) to be chained with (R2/RT and R1/RB) Special Counters, and as long as we use R1 Special Counter after a Special Deflection (triangle on PS) then we don't lose any of the Fable Arts. 1 Fable Art Slot will be used if R2 is pressed after triangle for a different type of a Special (fable art) Counter than R1. So you can deflect as many times as you want without losing a Fable Art Slot, just by pressing triangle or triangle to deflect and R1 for a special (fable art) counter, which means infinite Special Parry and R1 Special (fable art) Counter (as long as 1 fable art slot is available).

@@funkymonke2771 no prob, I'll try a different way... for example if you use a fable art parry on the Wintry Rapier, you get a parry and a counter which will cause you to lose 1 fable art slot, similarly if you use a fable art dodge that the Two Dragons Sword has you also use a fable art slot and it doesn't deflect nor counter unless you use it again right after the dodge, which will result in 2 or 3 fable art slots used. With this Glaive, you can fable art dodge-deflect in one move that doesn't actually use up a fable art slot so it gives you many more uses. Also you can do a fable art counter that doesn't use up a fable art slot as long as it's R1 counter and not R2 counter (since R2 counter will use up a fable art slot). So with only 1 fable art slot (the blue line) you can do infinite fable art dodge-parries with fable art R1 counters.

What if you failed to parry and only get the dodge backward cause it's too early, will it takes 1 fable slot in each failed parry?
