I have not seen the entire video, but i noticed, he did not use throwable items! Thats biig! Could had made fighting bosses easier (& faster). I would include that in the title of the video .... if that is correct. Oh AND, the Legion arm is the base one. So ... full melee run.

The thing is the general difficulty of the game and the bosses isn't that bad, but it REALLY punishes you super hard for each and every mistake you make along the way. Miss a parry window? Get half your health destroyed. Dodge too much? You can't move for a while mid fight.

I really love speedruns. I watched all of them concerning RPG SoulsLike. But it is the first speedrun I watcheed every second without rewinding at all savoring every frame! Just awesome job! The game is great and the most difficult amids all soulslikes!

I was really enjoying this up until i got to the Archbishop boss I've been stuck on for about 25 attempts so far...i got quite offended how easily and quickly you tore through him, like wutdahale!!!??? Jp, but seriously, you are some kinda Souls lord and this game just bowed down to kiss your feet!

Thank you and yeah the archbishop can be quite hard at first. I recommend using the fire grinder to deal a lot of damage to him and to run behind him during the second stage of the fight (he will have a similar moveset to the first stage that way) ^_^.

Thank you and yeah Laxasia can be be quite hard until you learn her attack patterns (I recommend perfect parrying her lightning bolt attacks in phase 2 to damage her) ^_^.

Well done! This game feels like it was meant to be played with a fast attacking dexterity (technique) weapon as opposed to a heavy slow moving strength(motivity) weapon. Especially since you don't get any hyper armor/poise mid swing and any attack in the game will interrupt your attack.

I tried the demo two times. The first time as Bastard and the second with the heavy one.. And for me personally I was so much better with the heavy weapon type. Even tho I thought Bastard is the way to go. XD not for me at least 🙈

no hit run would probably be impossible my man :) i dont think anyone out there in the entire world would be able to pull that off, given how narrow the parry window is, and u would have to parry every single attack from start to finish without missing a single one, i highly doubt anyone could ever pull that off, unless there is a patch making parrying a bit easier (which is actually something that could happen at some point)

I think my very first playthrough took around 25 hours. That included going through all optional areas and mapping out a route for future speedruns (in order to know where all of the upgrade materials are) ^_^.

Great video! Two questions: 1.) Can specters speed up boss battles or it's slower to obtain star fragments? 2.) Could any other weapon combos work in a run, or do the weapon upgrades to the Greatsword outclass everything else? Thanks!

1) Specters would most likely speed up bosses by a bit, since unlike dark souls or elden ring they dont increase a bosses hp and star fragments are easily obtainable (though they also make a bosses attack pattern a bit more unpredictable so parrying them would be harder). 2) I think just about all weapon combos that allow for somewhat fast attacks should be viable for this kind of run. I personally prefer the greatsword blade in combination with the rapier handle, since it's early obtainable (so you dont have to farm many upgrade materials), has a decent attack speed and range and the handle allows you to parry attacks for a lot of damage and stagger ^_^.

Specters die in 2 hits in ng+. They aren’t scaled for ng+. I’d suggest just never using them so you can 100% rely on your skills on the boss to prepare you for ng+ scaling.

​@@Regianldo56 I am on NG+3 and I use specters to phase skip some bosses. It takes 5 seconds of aggro on specter to execute combo-wombo for massive damage, don't need him after that. But you can also use that "avoids death and is healed" wishstone. Or eventually you will learn the bosses to the point that you perfect guard everything.

Pretty much, yeah. If I had to describe it, it feels like a combination of both the incredibly fluid gameplay from bloodborne combined with a stagger system similarly sekiro (+ the weapon combination mechanic you unlock early is really fun to mess around with) ^_^.

I put most points into Motivity/Dex (up to level 45 for the damage hard cap), Vitality/HP and Vigor/Stamina up to level 20 each and a couple of points into Capacity in order to equip both the stamina restoration amulet and the one that increases hp, stamina and legion ^_^.
