Fun fact: The item descriptions of the masks you get from the cat and fox reveal that they weren’t actually siblings. Cat lied to fox about being her long lost brother so that she would take care of him, and felt guilty for doing so. It’s implied that the fox knew cat was lying but she embraced him as her brother regardless.

In the book, these two characters are actually really bad. They use Pinocchio's kindness for their own selfish goals. They make him believe that by planting the coins, he'd get a tree full of money. In the "beta" book they're also the ones who end up killing Pinocchio because he didn't want to give his coins. In the released version of the book, they end up actually blind and they even apologize to Pinocchio for the way they've treated him.

Also fun fact: In the themed park of Pinocchio of Collodi, there are two statues of the fox and cat. I don't recall which one, but one of them have a modern gun behind him and the other one have a bottle of beer.

On my playthrough I really liked them at the beginning and even gave them the first fruits, but since they willingly tried to hurt the people from the hotel trashing the whole place, I ultimately killed them, I understood their reasons, but If I'm giving kindness and get my trust betrayed in return, I could only consider them enemies at that point.

Thats kinda my reasoning why I killed them in my playthrough as well, they've betrayred us more than one time, and at that point in the end they've never convinced me to ever trust them.

i always had fruits to help these two - they really weren't a bad sort - and happy endings in these sorts of games are always too few and far between - so I took this one. I wore fox's mask happily til the end of the game.

For these two perspectives, we are a dumbass only capable of a few word sentences, go into Suicidal situations like a dumbass with nothing to lose as well as be down to raid a building with just two others against a horde. Even though they thrashed the hotel and kidnapped Gipetto, I didn't want to fight them. Unlike Parrot who attacked us out of selfish desires, hating those who gave him shelter & calling me his "perfect bait" I killed him without remorse. But with Fox & Cat, they were kind. Sure they were a bit teasing, pulled some pranks and even though I had my suspicions, I let them live. They did what they did out of necessity, in Hope's to cure Cat's growing blindness. And unlike Parrot, they express their regrets and even give you an out even though they were hired to do this.

Either way you choose to approcha this you get the masks so i don't see any point of harmful with these 2. They are the only happy ending in the game if you give them the Coins.

My game glitch :/ I gave the black cat the coin but I did not receive his mask but after I talked to him again he wanted to fight me. So I left him alone and ran into the fox and I also gave her the coin and she gave me her mask and I’m able to talk to her? Now I’m tempted to fight him for the mask but I wanna spare them lol.
