Lies of P Review - Can it DETHRONE Dark Souls?

I appreciate the commentary. I'm on my first play thru. Stuck at Romeo. The linear aspect is a bit refreshing as I get very compulsive to find every item and in Elden Ring, for example, I would spend a lot of time in areas. Also, I guess it depended on where, but some of the regular enemies present big challenges. The opera house, clearing that out, I died multiple times. I still feel like I can go back to areas i've completed and discover more secrets. I am only on Romeo, but so far I give it an 8.5. Combat is difficult, and I agreed with a lot of your points. Great commentary again. Subbed.

I loved the game. It was my first souls-like game. Moving from Lies of P to Dark Souls was difficult because Dark Souls was very clunky comparatively until DS1 DLC with Artoriasbeing my favorite boss. My experience was that Dark Souls levels were more difficult, but Lies of P elite enemies and bosses were harder. I am one of the ones who actually loved DS2 more than DS1 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣. Laxasia and Nameless Puppet were fun for me, although it took me a long time to get through them. I loved it so much, though, that I've played through it 5 times. The story and atmosphere were just things that drew me in such a bittersweet story. I'm really excited for the upcoming DLC that they released one of the songs for it today. I'll probably have to do a ng run to get ready for the DLC

I can totally see how someone could like lies of p over darksouls. They really do play very differently. I hope you enjoy the DLC, I'm excited to see how it comes out. Also, did you try Bloodborne?

@RNGGaming-nv6zi I haven't. I play on the pc with a controller and have wished they had a pc port for Bloodborne. I might have to borrow my kid's PS4 to try it out, lol. I'm actually starting DS3 next to finish the DS series after we get our new PC delivered in a week or so, first and playing Enotria if I have time. I have enjoyed watching other people play Bloodborne, so I'm certainly interested.

I finish that game ..I beat nameless puppet at New game plus..and got 3 endings..now I have Platinum 🏆...my 1st soulslike game...I feel great

3:50 okay this part, you always lied? the greatest point of this game is the story so when you said that i just have the urge to type this comment and leave the video. the gameplay mechanics is innovative, i have heard dozens of reviews who can vouch for that...same for the deconstruction of the original story of pinocchio and how they spin it in this souls like. in short what i really would have loved is to see is your perspective on the story because what it means for each player playing the game is goign to be a little different every time.

Those who think it's a good game are losers who have been conned. It's completely scripted and linear. Want to attack an enemy or a boss the way that you want ?? Nope, the scripted coding says you can only do it a certain way in a certain hit window at a certain timing window. All these souls fanboys think it's OK to play a memory game learning the bosses move. It's lazy game designing. Check out how long to takes just to pick up loot ?! The i-frames are just mini loading screens. The small stamina resources are a cheats way to make it difficult. The devs couldn't even design several difficulty settings like AAA games do ?! It's not worth the money for the short playing time, and there's no real replayability. The enemies are always in the same spot.
