Liesa, Shroud of Dusk Commander Deck Profile

Have a Liesa of my own, and love the playstyle. Can't say enough good things about Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless in the deck. Would suggest tossing in a few more ramp and draw cards, should help it perform more reliably.

Is Debt to the Deathless worth it by itself? I recently cut it because it's such a huge sink, that alone, doesn't have huge payoff and just draws ire from the table. My last attempt at using it was also countered which just put salt on the wound xD

@@hikaru99 I feel that depends on your meta. The more competitive your group, the more DttD starts to lose effectiveness. While it's no Torment of Hailfire, I have had great success with it in my Meta that is 'casually competitive', in that while players aren't going off on turn 3-4, there are still money cards frequently being thrown around. What I like about DttD is Liesa is that it solely goes after the major resource she is trying to hit, life. While Torment is an amazing card, it can be soaked by opponent who have creatures or tokens to spare. There is little an opponent can do to recover from a large hit to their life total. I chose to run DttD in part too as it replenishes my own life, as I drain a lot of my own as well. I have run into the situation though where, with each defeated opponent, DttD becomes far less impactful. If I were to cut it, it could be because of the inconsistency of the late game player count.

Oh, I 100% agree with you on the proxy. If you own the card already, it’s ok to proxy it. I do that in my one deck. I’m also ok with proxying a few cards that you don’t have if you just want to try them out in a deck.

Cabal Coffers isn't too good if your not also running Urbog, Tomb of Yawgmoth.

With Tainted Rememdy, you could run Beacon of Immortality and instant kill any player.
