After two months and 1000 kilometers I am still satisfied with the scooter. In the meantime I drove as well with a tall friend as co driver as with my wife and both times we had no problem with the space on the seat or the acceleration and top speed.

Can it handle uphill at a decent speed?
@GreenMopeds5 жыл бұрын
So it obviously depends on the hill, just like cars really. The benefit of the smaller bikes is that they often weigh less too so the power to weight is sometimes better than the bigger bikes. My advice would be to test ride one. If youre in the London area, youre welcome to arrange that

Does it have enough power to drive up a steep hill?
@GreenMopeds5 жыл бұрын
@@jordansecond8455 So its 1500w with a 60v 24amp battery and the bike only weighs 76KG. I guess the real answer is it depends on the hill and the load on the bike. In the same way a small car or large lorry might get up one but not at full speed. We've had people try various models of ours up RIchmond Hill and have not had issues
@culcune5 жыл бұрын
@@GreenMopeds I have a 151cc TGB scooter, and I had issues on one particular hill when I commuted on it daily, so I would avoid that route most days. However, the TGB uses the common GY6 gasoline engine found in numerous scooters, and even with mine being higher quality than the more common Chinese, it had issues. These are electric, so I am guessing they are not using a traditional belt and CVT transmission like on most scooters? Should take hills better than gasoline scoots, as you mentioned.
@GreenMopeds5 жыл бұрын
@@culcune These have an electric engine and not a petrol one and so they have the motor in the hub so no belt (other brands do use a belt or even chain). In hub motors, electricity is feed directly into the wheel hub by a cable and that causes the wheel to turn and hence they are much more efficient than petrol can ever be. For example this engine claims to be 80% efficient. Compare that to at best 50% of a Petrol engine and typically they are a lot less. What that means then is that if you have a Petrol engine and electric one that produce the the same power, more of it ends up being usuable to drive the wheels in electric bikes. It also depends though on other factors like weight of the bike and rider which ends up in a power-to-weight ratio. So we have a bike thats 1200w but only 59KG which has a better P/W ratio than a bigger 1500w bike which might seem to be more powerful but weighs 95KG. Lastly, we have a 8% (1:12) hill near us that people often test the our bikes on to see that they are happy with them and some bikes also state the incline they can handle.

Hey green mopeds I'm currently in uganda and I've been looking for the most efficient e scooter but it seems i just landed on the lifan e 3... am quite unsure about its maintenance if its parts surely take long to break down because its hard for me to get stores where i can actually buy or carry out maintenance. Does it suit me? Advise me as some one who has used that bike for 5yrs now. Literally worried about getting flat tires or switches malfunctioning yet i got no where near to buy maintenance products. Your advice will be welcomed with great consideration.

Electric bikes are quite reliable. Tyres are standard sizes so you should be able to get them locally. It's the electronic elements that you would need to think about in the unlikely event they went wrong

I am thinking to buy it in Greece. Here cost 1540€. Is the top speed 45km ? With double ride can make 45km ? In an incline have power with one person or two ? After how much charges you must replace the battery and how much cost that ?

45kmh is top speed. Battery is about €900. m.lifanmotos.net/product/ddcc/2017-03-30/73.html

Hi I'm interested on doing food delivery with this moped. What is the real range of this scooter?
@GreenMopeds5 жыл бұрын
So the official ranges quoted are between 45 & 75 miles depending on the mode used. These are figures in lab conditions so I would therefore say real life is around 35 miles

@@rhampton1914 In the UK, moped category bikes must do no more than 28mph. While its possible that they de-restrict the US model, at only 1200w it's highly unlikely that it will get to 45mph. No other standard 1200w bike can get to that speed and if it did, it would be absolutely flat out in warm weather, on a flat road and with a light load. 1200w is less than 2hp after all
