I'm 49 years old. In 79 I was 7 years old, I can't begin to even imagine being in prison for 43 years! I wish this man the grace of God and a peaceful life! Great content Joe!

Out of all the guys you have had on APS, his story hits the hardest. He didn't bullshit or gloss over the murder he did, he owned it. His story is one of hardship, loss but overall a triumph of the human spirit. He seems to pull no punches and takes full responsibility for his actions. Please keep us updated on him. I really want this guy to succeed.

I really love that he lets the guest talk and get all of there thoughts out .. So many interviewers need to take tips from Joe .. So many interviewers either cut people off , or somehow try to find a way to make certain things about them .. like “Oh because when I went to the parole board this is what happened ... etc” when it’s not about you at this moment !! Vlad has a terrible problem with doing that !! This is such a great interview

I could feel his genuine remorse. He seems like such an genuinely kind person. I feel like he is going to do amazing things! His is one of the most heartbreaking stories. I’m glad he’s getting a second chance. I can’t imagine going in when he was 19 and then seeing how much he has aged. He missed so much time on the outside. I hope and pray you find happiness and can heal from the emotional pain.

Wow! What an amazing story! God has given him a second chance. The victims family forgiving him is a beautiful thing he has a long road ahead fighting his addiction. He can do it though by helping others. He is a great speaker and has so much he can do if he can just stay clean. Praying for him!

not hard to stop at all fear is what stops the weak minded from quitting and a weak mind and gluttony is what begins someone doing drugs daily your not a bright person if you willingly stuff drugs in you're body everyone knows the consequences yet they still do it you aren't addicted before you start taking drugs so there isn't any excuse as to why you did it in the first place

Now that is a story of the human spirit. The humility is unquestionable and the proof of character is quite humbling to all those who refuse to believe in themselves. To come out of the second biggest indecency we call prison (the first is war) and to have hope not only for ones self, but to want to share that hope and help others is commendable to say the very least. I am looking forward to watching the rest of this captured lightning in a bottle series.

I love that this channel, even considering the content, does it's best to stay out of the current social politics. Everyone is very unbiased, tells the events how they remember them, and takes responsibility for their actions, without any (metaphoric) filters and lenses to muddy the message. This is true journalism, and should be applauded.

JigsawJoe13 it's true. Both my parents are teachers in Canada. No one gets held back anymore. They get an IPP. Individualized Program Plan. Basically they dumb the work down for them and they "graduate" without knowing how to even read the word "graduate."
