It’s crazy how bad 2K has messed up the cap in their game that you can get 88 overalls for the MLE after only like 3 seasons. It’s bc the cap doesn’t go up enough, they have no idea how the cap actually works (or they’re too lazy) so they implement a hard cap which is idiotic. Like yes you can become hard capped if you trigger it (using full MLE, sign and trade, etc) but the NBA has a soft cap it’s not the damn NFL or whatever the hell. Really wild. And if you make the cap go up higher, players just ask for more money so that doesn’t fix it. Also guys like Sekou asking for $20M and stuff. Many issues. They have to completely overhaul it which they’ll never do. SMH. Rly not even THAT hard. They’d just need to hire a cap expert (there are plenty who’d do it) to consult for like a couple weeks. Say the guy consults 5 hours a day for 12 days. They’d be able to get someone to do that for like $20K. That’s PENNIES for them. That’s prolly even more time than they’d even need to fix it. And you’d only need to do it once really to fix the system. All you’d have to update every year is the new salary cap and luxury tax threshold. Have it automatically go up between like 5-8% every year randomly, then go up like 10% every year for 3 years after new TV deal (which is roughly every 9 seasons) They could make it so the big markets are willing to go wayyy in to the tax, and then if you’re a contender any team is willing to go pretty deep in the tax. Something like that. More important is just fixing what players ask for tho. It’s just not that hard!

There is roughly an 80% chance it’ll end up being 5-14 and POR will get it. Btw the pick goes to POR if it’s 5-14, NOP keeps it at 1-4, CHA gets it if it’s 15-30. Like you said if it doesn’t convey to POR they get ‘25 MIL 1st T4 protected. If it doesn’t convey to Charlotte, they get two 2nds (2022/2024 NOP 2nds)

Yeah 4th is still good but you don’t give up Dame and a first overall pick for just Julius Randle, 4th pick, Cam Reddish and another pick.
