I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how honest and real your husband keeps it. Often times women may feel sensitive to men honesty but we can not dismiss how our brothers may feel. I have brothers and I encourage them to express themselves freely and respectfully. Thank you. ❤

My husband didn’t enjoy the newborn phase either and would agree with your husband for sure! He LOVES that our two are toddlers now. This is the stage he can shine. Us mommas love those newborn snuggles and connection with baby!

When you’re tired and you have a child it’s soooo different. And when you’re sick and you have a child, whew it’s rough. But how you enjoy life is just different.

This is relatable. My husband and I had our first baby this June. He is wonderful but it’s a new dynamic. I can’t do what I want like I used to. You can be tired but instead of choosing sleep you need to get things done. I need him to sleep while I’m working but I also would love for him to sleep when I’m done so I can sleep too.. it’s just different. I want to vacation but it’s a lot of planning. So it’s possible but it’s a different dynamic.

Did yall find the puppy season the same as having a baby? (I.e filling a routine everyday to train)

River is so adorable!! Cam I def agree with your pov! My husband felt the same exact way! He loves our son but it was an adjustment since we didn’t plan for our son. Also, your pov is similar to Omar and Jalon on Nice and Neat the podcast.

Me personally I love DDG type of fathers. The fathers who are excited about their child and you never see them complaining. If you ask DDG that sane question, he would definitely say his life is better after the kids. ❤

Cam speaking - I’m absolutely excited about my baby! It’s nothing like it. Maybe not clear but it’s not at all a non excitement factor it’s more just making it clear how different it is and from my perspective as guy who wasn’t necessarily in the head space yet. I had to get there. Don’t know too much about DDG but he may have been ready compared to me I wasn’t there yet but absolutely the best father I will be for my baby now that is my life. Don’t get it mistaken, having a kid is life changing for the better. Sharing a perspective of a person who hadn’t visioned themselves as a parent before. Not saying life isn’t actually better because my life is actually great!

@ Maybe I read too much into it but I’m glad to hear you’re excited about fatherhood. Some people get depressed when they become a parent, others experience a never ending excitement and they will never put that baby down. But everyone is different. ❤️

Two VERY different dads you're talking about. Not saying DDG does not love his kid, but he is also very motivated from a content standpoint. Also you're talking about a family unit vs a split home. DDG does not have his son 100% of the time and when he does, I wouldn't be surprised if there's help around the mansion. Cam me and my wife are sitting here watching with our 3 y/o and 6 WEEK old. When we only had a NB we also noticed the drastic changes in life too and to your point, "fun" isn't the first word we'd use to describe it. Fast forward, now we couldn't imagine a life without our daughters! Keep pushing! It's all temporary, she'll be zipping around and treating you like a jungle gym in no time 😂😂

@ I’m strictly talking about DDG as a father not as husband or as content creator. DDG is one of the best fathers I’ve ever seen. You don’t ever see him complaining. He absolutely loves being a dad.
