LIFE AFTER RACING MTB with MATT SIMMONDS - Live To Ride

Matt Simmonds is a UK based ex downhill mountain bike World Cup racer and National Champion. We first filmed with Matt in 2012 for the very first Live To Ride series (link below) and since then he's gone on to have a very successful career. In this video he is riding his Privateer 161.
In the last year Matt has decided to step away from racing to work on ProLine MTB coaching where you can spend 1 on 1 time with Matt to improve your riding. Part of this has been the re development of Caersws MTB park where he's re instated and helped maintain a a lot of the trails. All the while he's been working with his new sponsor Privateer Bikes to help them develop the perfect bike for anyone to enter the worlds highest competition.

Don’t think I’d buy a UK small brand bike again after my experience with one, not mentioning names but customer service is non existent, hard to get replacement parts, impossible to get advice on upgrading shocks etc. hard to get drop out hangers and rear axle mech bushings. Just hard work to get in contact with. I think for this particular brand I’m talking about the whole bike is manufactured and assembled abroad and the company doesn’t personally oversee QC. Just designed here made in Taiwan? and punted out to dealers directly from abroad, Expensive bikes too so in future I’m sticking with the big established brands as after sales has always been spot on with them in my experience. I feel 7k out of pocket for my so called UK e-bike. Customer and after sales service is no 1 priority for me.
