I also have TBR zero and am caught up on all series. Now most of my reading comes from eARCs and the library.

I cannot pick what kind of book person I want to be. I LOVE the idea of only getting my books from the library and only buying books I want to keep forever. And also buying indie books since those aren't usually in libraries. But I also worry that books I know I want to read, won't be available at the library when I want to read them. I know libraries are constantly purging books to make room for new books so the less borrowed books go on the chopping block. I get it, we all only have so much physical room for books. And this fear has only been heightened post election. I live in NY and my library is very anti-book banning. Logically I know these books are safe but also, "ahhh!" The feels and logic are not on the same page here. And one library in my area has sales every month from April-Oct with the most expensive books being $2.50. How can I NOT go and buy books that intrigue me with those prices? Needless to say, this topic is very complicated in my brain. 😅

After you buy books and read them, if you don’t want to keep them forever, you could sell them to your local used bookstore.

@@Multilingualismforbeginners I'm an avid unhauler. I Marie Kondo my shelves OFTEN! Since 99% of my book buying comes from library sales, they go right back there.

I am glad to see you are back, even if it is just a one off for now. The fact that you finished your TBR's is amazing. Continue the wonderful reading.

I'm taking advantage that the books I own physically is about 100 to get my physical TBR to 0 and then only buying books more intentionally. I'm reading them through my library and then plan to keep my physical TBR at 10 books max.. Once I'm caught up physically I'm going to tackle my ebooks which is significantly more unread (I haven't and refuse to count those😅). I do want to build up my physical books though. And then any books that I like but don't want to buy to keep I'll probably still buy BUT donate/give as gifts so that I'm still supporting authors that way too.

@@Natalie-hi9gc I wish you the best of luck!! Thankfully, ebooks are way easier to unhaul, so hopefully the process won't be too painful. 😂

WOW. Thought this would literally be impossible for one to do.
