This is honestly one of the best recent shows Adult Swim has greenlit, its jokes are funnier and snappier than Rick and Morty, it doesn't have to rely on pop cultural references every time to be funny, and it even has inside jokes that even the most dedicated fans can really appreciate. This should be set as an example of how to make an entertaining show for anyone and everyone whether you get it or not.

Zach has set up the premise of hellbenders within smiling friends now with the boss owning 1/5th of hell I think a long time ago that was gonna be the premise of they’re original 2 shows Leo and Satan which then kinda became hellbenders which became this I was thinking hm I wonder what are some things they have re used over the years from other shows so thinking maybe that was something in front of us the whole time but it took a while to understand why that puzzle piece was placed there
