The conversation between Charlie and Allan in the boss' office felt very personal to me, because I had a conversation like that with a friend of mine that I've known since middle-school about 3 weeks ago. I had never taken it as weird as it was an occasional physical contact I do to those I'm close with on occasion, something that my family do to eachother on occasion to mess around and show affection. But to him, it was uncomfortable and weird. It shocked me that he had never brought it up before, because I've done that to friends and family for a very long time. But it made me happy that he brought it up, because it really did seem to bother him and he finally opened up about that. It taught me that communication between friends is very important, it's what makes them last. Don't be afraid to talk to your friends about stuff like this, it will be uncomfortable and awkward at first, but it feels liberating once you've opened up about stuff like that.
